Re: Kenn Borek Conditions

Pay is shit and the 3 on 3 off schedule is a bit of a pipe dream, might be as much as 5-6 weeks on and usually your time off isn’t respected. Also no bonus pay if you work a longer shift, just gotta suck it up

Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks

CBC just put a picture up on its website, Definatly a Twin Otter and does look like it belongs to ASC, The Plane does appear to still be in good shape for the most part but thats kind of hard to tell, Hope everyone is OK.

I'm hoping it is just on a road but unfortuatly i am very familiar with old town and there are very few places big enough to put an airplane down safely.

Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks

I just heard on the CBC news that the plane crashed into a house in Old Town, as of now there is nothing about it on CBC's website. The News North Website says the plane was a Twin Otter with 7 people on board. I don't have a subsciption to that site so i wasn't able to read any more, does anybody k...

Re: Flight test Ground questions

I've had 5 rides with 5 different examiners and each one of them asked me a question about Takeoff Alternates. This usually leads to getting asked a scenario where your given Wx and asked if that airport qualified as a T/O alternate.

This was released on the CBC just a few days ago, not sure why it took this story so long to hit the press but i guess the pilot was Dave Mathison, the owner of Summit Air, good thing he survived because he is unbelievalble important to the success of Summit Air, glad he is alright. http://www.cbc.c...

Re: Private lic flying ultralight float endorsment?

Correct me if im wrong but isn't a float rating (and a night rating) only required if you want to carry passengers, if you by youself then i believe you can just hop in and learn for yourself

Re: New air terminal for Fort McMurray

A second runway would be a waste of money without improving the terminal. As it is now the lack of gates at the terminal is the airports biggest limiting factor. I think as it is the terminal can really only handle about 3 sched flights at a time and only a couple of charters (Im referring only to 7...

Re: New air terminal for Fort McMurray

$30 per passenger, correct me if im wrong but dosen't Calgary and Toronto presently have the highest fees in Canada at $25. While i won't argue the fact that McMurray desperatly needs a new terminal and the cost of doing business up there is much higher than the rest of the country, $30 still seems ...
