Re: NOTAM for CYYC starting June 4, 2012 must have reservati
Why don' they start with option #1 ... get a US controller in that knows how to handle traffic, then the rest of them could all take the day off. I love how some pilots have zero understanding as to how things work at airports that they frequent (assuming you have flown into Calgary). The reality i...

Good job YYZ ATC (repost from general)
Earlier this week a jazz ac had a runway incursion in yyz. They admitted they had passed the hold line and rather than continue across decided to stop in the middle of the runway. Thankfully ATC yelled abort several times and Westjet was able to perform a high speed reject. I just wanted to say than...

GTAA-Go to another airport!
I've been on hold with the GTAA pass office now for over 40 minutes, my call is important to them! It's that lovely time in my life when I have to renew my RAIC pass.
Does anyone pick up the phone there!!!

Re: Headset
TV;
The EMJ has a hot mic, however it can be selected off or on, we usually have it on all the time. I bid for longer legs and have flown the YYZ-SEA a lot, the leg is 5 hours long, and head set is just as comfortable as when I first put it on.

Re: Headset
Hi TV; I fly the Embraer at AC. I do have the QC2 model, as I have been using this set for quite some time now 3 maybe 31/2 years. I purchased the the head set while on a layover so it cost me $299.00 plus tax, and I picked up the uflymike for 199.00 (had it shipped to the states).. So pretty well, ...

Re: Headset
I have used for the last 3 years without any trouble, a combination of the Bose quite comfort headset and the mic adapter from http://www.uflymike.com I cannot speak more highly of this headset and mic combination. The beauty of this set up is you can use the head set in or out of the flight deck, e...

Coast2Coast2Cure
www.coast2coast2cure.com On October 22nd 2008, Air Canada Flight 869, a London to Toronto Boeing 777 touched down at 11:21am. Piloting that flight was Scott Lyon. The aircraft was taxied to the gate and the parking brake set. That ended another uneventful flight, and that was the last time anything ...
