Re: Air Canada cancels some flights amid pilot protest - Apr

When is the madness going to end? I had 2 friends today alone whose flights were cancelled, losing thousands in hotels, and car rentals, etc. They are among thousands who will probably never fly AC again. When is both the union and management going to wake up and see they are killing this company?

Well I highly doubt RJ spots will be available as we have replaced 15 of them with 15 Q400s. So looks like Classic Dash spots and Q400, probably every base with the exception on YHZ. Good luck!

Re: 2012 Ground School

Well all i can think of is that at the time I only had 2200 hours and no ATPL. Did the background check, which I have had many for medevac jobs so can't see a problem there and the references they talked to all claimed to have given good references. I dunno I feel frustrated and defeated by this on...

Re: Online Application

I just visited the WestJet website and tried to start a online application but was unable to find a pilot job posting. Does anyone know if you have to wait for them to post a job opening or is there another way to start a profile? I couldn't find anything on workopolis either. Thanks It is back up ...

Re: Westjet Second Fleet Type

Guys let me apologize on behalf of the 99% of Jazz pilots who would let ANY pilot jumpseat with us. Yes there are and always will be that 1% who just have to be assholes. As an FO it can be frustrating to have to deal with some of these guys. But thankfully almost all the guys/gals at Jazz are decen...

ah shit... Can anyone from TS confirm if this is true? Hope not... Not at Transat but these guys are usually pretty accurate. Really sucks for the guys that went over recently, lots of guys from Jazz, lets hope that this is just temporary. http://pilotcareercenter.com/Air-Carrier-PCC-Profile/842/Ai...

Re: CATSA Working to Rule?

I have endured the last 2 days at yyz at the hands on these morons. Almost all transborder flights are delayed up to an hour or more. The lineup outside the U.S. customs hall was up to 3 hours at one point I heard today! There are delays on the gate, waiting for passengers, there are delays on the r...

Re: king air to air canada

Unless you've worked 703/704 on your way up the ladder, you have no proper frame of reference. Argue if you like, but everyone here knows its true. What's 703/704? I fully expect to be picked up by the airlines when I decide that I am done having fun while flying. I don't think I will need to work ...

Must've missed that in the bios. Were they 757 guys too?
Nope not on the 757. They were all relatively junior.

By the way, get with the times AC sold off the last of their stake in Jazz about 3 years ago. Yes, I know. Thanks for the "education". :smt021 I was in the family when that happened. If the comment was for the funneling of money, I'm talking about the CPA not ownership. Topics such as passes...

Re: king air to air canada

Now thats great news. I'm refering to 06/07 when all Jazz guys were getting interviewed but few moving over. Sounds like that trend is changing. Back when the regionals were seperate, I can recall Nova guys getting job offers from AC during the first day of (Nova) Ground School. There used to be mu...

Re: king air to air canada

Unless something has changed the PFO rate for Jazz guys was in the 90% or higher, I heard the entire Yyc base got PFO'd. Sure some did get hired but most did not. Hopefully that has changed it would be nice to see those two pilots groups show a bit more comrodery towards eachother. Not true at all....
