Re: Serious answers where will I get funds from?
If I was just out of high school with no real qualification for a decent paying job and wanted to be a pilot, here is what I would do: I would train to become a railway conductor. This is exactly what I did. If you find an inside reference at CN rail you might not even have to pay for conductor sch...

Pie you didn't offer any answer to my question, but I'll answer yours, I'd take a firing squad. Can't imagine losing my head and hanging seems a bit degrading.Shiney Side's comment gave the future in-laws a big scare, they have relented and agreed to pay for all the parts. ---- You; however, have to...

What would you choose if you had to pay for the maintenance?
1980's vintage Beech Baron 58P
1980's vintage Cessna 340A
or 1980's vintage Piper Aerostar 601P
As a dowry, you have to pay for 5 years of maintenance on your future father-in-law's aircraft... which aircraft type do you hope he has parked in his hangar at YZF??

Re: 185 nose over
I had a mechanic tell me that when he runs up a 185 he holds the yoke back so that it doesn't nose over. I kinda doubt it. We can all speculate... but if anyone actually knows....

185 nose over
Here's a question for 185 drivers. If you were doing a static ground run at full power, and the yoke full forward, is it possible to nose over?
