Re: Did AC stop flying to Havana?
I don’t think HAV ever resumed following Covid. It’s a very different passenger make-up to/from HAV than the beach resorts of Cuba, where the passenger must originate from Canada, (with added connections). On the HAV flight, the passenger could (and often did) originate from Cuba. I’m not sure resi...

That sounds impossible. IQ is defined to be 100 on average. They can still be stupider though. Loads of studies and articles, it's not really news. No. I’m not advocating you take a reduction in pay. Not at all. And I didn’t say that either. I simply find it hard to believe nav pay would even be a reality in this day and age. Having re-read my remarks I appreciate how my written words have come across. To be honest I haven’t a clue what your C...

That’s it? Childish insults. Not even one reasonable explanation or grownup answer how “nav pay” is justifiable in this day and age? Not surprised. Just ‘money for nothing, kicks for free’ I guess. Where were we? Oh yeah, A220 bid. Carry on. Gino Under :partyman: Based on your monologue above, I do...

4/5ths, or about 8/10ths if you prefer metric This is actually completely incorrect, nor is it a trick question as someone else questioned. The following is an excerpt from the AC Halifax accident report. High-intensity lighting systems have 5 intensity settings (1 through 5, with 5 being the brigh...

Re: Direct Entry Captain Course
How much are Captains paid at Sky? Is it hourly? Guarantee? Salary? How much are they working? Starting pay $80.70 an hour, 75 hour monthly gaurentee but most flying blocks around 80-85hrs. Working 16-19 days a month with 11 days off a month minimum. Overtime over 85hrs paid at 1.5x Is that FO rate...

I don't understand the survey.... Which mobile app? My most frequently traveled airline? Duolingo? Facebook? TD Bank?
I was curious, but I don't understand the scope of the survey

Re: Westjet cabin incident, good thing it wasn't United or AC
Question for the Air Canada cheerleaders, that contrary to evidence, seem to think AC is both the safest and most polite airline in the world. I just completed a long, multi segment trip as a pax. One business, rest economy, last premium economy with AC. On this last flight they made me take off my...

We were flying the pilot monitored approach in DC3's and DC6's forty five years ago with far less equipment to work with and it worked just fine. Arguable. https://i.guim.co.uk/img/static/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2014/12/29/1419840642471/66aa0efc-9a1c-4eaf-b6cb-486b44c95fc0-1020x612.png?w=1...

Sorta, as a new hire. All new hires are on flat pay for the first four years. Advantage of rouge would be no reserve, opportunity for overtime (extra $$$)iwant2flyifr wrote: Is it the same pay scale?

FWIW on an initial medical if you are over 30 you get "checked". On subsequent medicals you can defer the check until you are 40.

What max range could you reasonable expect to control this from? Good question. I only looked at the ceiling range on their webpage, maybe control range is there too. My *guess* is that if you were up that high with it, it would be in some kind of autonomous mode... Programmed to go to X spot on ea...
