Re: Float rating in the Muskokas

I think Cloud Air went out of business some time in the last year. I did mine down on Lake St John at Orillia Aviation, depending on which resort you are working at, might not be too far to drive...Don't know if they are still in the float rating business down there, I did mine back in 94 or so... C...

There are no EMJ Captains making 38000 (if he is flying as a Captain on the E jet and getting paid 38k, he should file a grievance)...Lowest EMJ Capt pay is around 115/hr (I think, don't have the contract in front of me). Also, no one is flying around as an EMJ Captain who has been at the company fo...

Also, the flat pay for rp is only 2 years, not 3 any more, at least according to the ACPA guys...the collective agreement still shows a 3rd year of flat pay in the rp position.

Good luck

Interview and tests are done on the same day, if selected, candidates are usually offered a job conditional on passing the company medical. If the interview candidate is coming in from out of the country, I believe that the medical is done at the same time as the interview and tests (usually the day...

Probably the best thing to do would be to try to push back your hire date at Jazz, but you could wait months finding out if you get on with mainline...I and most of the guys on my course found out within a couple of months, but there are stories of guys waiting much, much longer. Also, applicants fr...

Hey All (again), The 727 was initially designed to be a two-engined airplane. No problem for the APU as there would be no middle engine. The problem arose when Boeing realized that the airlines wanted to fly it over water. ETOPS didn't exist back then so the #2 engine was added as an afterthought. ...

"The waterfront's a very busy place for people," she said. "You don't have that around Pearson." Oldtimer, don't really understand how you can blame lawyers and accountants for the danger to a pilot's career, it would seem to me that pilots are their own worst enemies in that respect. The owners of flight schools are entitled to a big share of the blame too, I haven't spent any time in one late...

Not as pilots (unless maybe you are dual US/canadian citizen, or hold a green card)...Course all those brown vans and trucks that you see tooling around Canada are driven by canadians, and the sort in YHM is done by canadians, apparently they pay pretty well, too.
