It takes 15 years to reach top wage in th Dispatch position at Jazz.!!

Various shifts,8-10-12 hours long...24/7 operation in Halifax.

Hi All,

Anyone here have any idea on wages for Jazz dispatchers...? Hourly or salaried,shift premiums,rotation(4 on-4 off)...?

I assume dispatch would be a 24/7 operation...? All positions based in Halifax...?

Any Jazz (current/former)dispatchers on this site...?

Can anyone give any info about Canadian training for a position as a Flight dispatcher...???

I see Jazz is looking for a flight dispatcher for its' head office in Halifax but doesn't provide much info on qualifications other than a referral to CARS 705.

London only does heavy maintenance on the CRJ.Dash 8 work done in Calgary. Shifts:Straight days or Straight afternoons or 1 week days/1 week afternoons(afternoon shift 4 10 hr shifts)...all Statutory holidays worked..! Pay depends on whether AME has ACA for CRJ or not. Diamond Aircraft plant in London,Ontario has approx. 180 people on layoff right now,no word what-so-ever when that jet will be built.....waiting for the recession to end so the Americans will start placing orders.

BB, The class has no shortage of homework everyday with extra reading to be done as well...usually one test per week. The class is comprised of several "20 somethings" and several "40 something second career" people and a few that are just along for the ride until Christmas break when their bad mark...
