I would also suggest Toronto Airways, they pay well and you will do lots of flying.

As far as which schools will be effected by the new legislation....they all are if they are going to offer vocational training (commercial & instructor ratings)

I attended the information seminar on the PCCA (Private career colleges act) I myself work in the management department of a small school, and this new law affects all flights schools in Ontario that offer the CPL and instructor ratings. It's going to mean hard times ahead for some of our operations.

Re: Ontario Restricting CPL instruction

The Ontario Gov, with no resistance from Transport Canada, is proceeding with its policy of including Flight Training Units in its Private Career College act. BC already has something similar in place. In Ontario it means that even though an FTU is Federally regulated and mandated (things such as e...

It's always sad to read things like that.

It's pretty scary too to see that security is relaxed enough that someone would be able to crawl in there without anyone noticing

Would your job schedule allow you do some flight training in the evenings (once the days are longer of course during t...

It's alot to think about that's for sure. It's important you understand though that a flying career will not get you into a good paycheck for a long while. After you complete your commercial, multi/IFR and instructor (should you choose that route) you will be pulling in paychecks WELL UNDER 30,000/y...
