Re: WestJet and Sunwing ground collision - YYZ

After seeing the video of a burning APU in contact with the right wing (read right fuel tank) I join the crowd of "nice job guys" What did or did not happen in the cabin is of concern and will be the subject of debrief and investigation. Should they have evacuated? YES

Telex Airman 750 for sale

Bought in 2012 and only used a few times. Went to an earpiece right after. Have original receipt for 283.00 taxes in. Brand new condition. I'll ship Canada Post anywhere in Canada as part of the purchase price. Make me a reasonable offer, just want it gone.

WTB Bose A20 ANR Dual Plug

Anybody out there have one of these collecting dust? I've tried one and I liked it but not sure if I'm completely sold on it yet so would like to buy a used one.

Re: No-incident/accident certificate

The document they are looking for is not the licence verification letter. TC supplies that one as you have found out but you have to request the letter the Asian company is looking for from the TSB...for the Western Region contact Jonathan Lee at jonathan.lee@tsb.bst.gc.ca. Call first and he'll ask ...

Re: Inspiring Flight

I'm guessing my mystery pilot is someone somewhat high up. So my question is, which upper management personnel in the mid-late 90s flew the line as well? The most likely two would be, Don Bell, he was our guru of culture, and Tim Morgan who would have been either the Director of Flight operations o...

Where did you see that? Just talked to a friend there today and he certainly didn't mention that...and I think he might have ,had it happened.

Re: A low cost carrier is charging for using the toilet onbo

Was just skimming through USA Today and found something that caught my attention. http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/item.aspx?type=blog&ak=86948.blog Apparently, the low cost carrier Ryanair is going to start charging passengers for using the onboard toilets. "By charging for the toilets we ar...

Re: Would you like to sit in the cockpit for your next fligh

Then how come he asked to see my License. I have travelled enough to know that Pilot's don't ask you for your license to get on board the aircraft. This is something that I have never ran into before and caused me to think exactly what he said. He did in fact say that if I had my license with me (p...

HotWings. We're a big corp now. No way to change that. It probably is disappointing to you, but we'll never ever be that small time outfit ever again. You must deal with that fact as you see fit. Your choice of course. Now, I'll talk to you in the tone I use when I talk to the more "senior" (used r...

Re: Sean Durfy quit?!

A man who is pushed out, generally doesn't hang around the company for a few months to help the guy who just got his job. This suggests it was Sean's choice not the other way around. I don't think there will be too many Durfy sightings after Apr 1. I'm even willing to admit that I could be complete...

The thing that makes me jaded? That's not the correct term actually, informed and aware is a better term. I've watched since day one, pretty good seat to have seen everything that has gone on here. I'm not sure how long you've been here and maybe you've never met CB. If you have, he was probably ve...

Wow Hotwings, you must be working at WestJet for different reasons than me. CB could be blowing goats at lunchtime for all I care. What the hell difference does it make what his personality is...unless you're TM's bud and holding a grudge. It's not like he has A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G to do with a line pilo...

Ok, well for arguments sake, if I was a big time big money investor, then I too would realize this is just a smoke screen for getting him fired, which would negate the whole reason for not "spooking" me. I'm not sure what this thread highlights more of, the childish behavior of so-called "professionals" or the ignorance of so-called "professionals". Sean is leaving to spend time with his wife - who just recovered from a brain tumor - and Gregg is taking the helm of the most successful airline in Ca...

Re: Enerjet

Moot point, the passes were promised to the original group WHENEVER they left and it had nothing to do with resigning or retiring, it was a promise made, a fairly large promise I might add, and a promise broken. Wrong again. I just got off the phone with a very good friend who is a member of the "R...

Look what they did to a couple of the original pilots who left for Enerjet...screwed them out of lifetime passes that were promised..that I do know for a fact. Re: Great bunch of people

The fact of "they're a great bunch of people" as posted above, is not a business plan. There are a lot of nice people in aviation, but only those companies with a positive cash flow will survive. "Selling stories of things to come", "hoping for a break", and "hanging in there" are not terms investo...
