Re: Don't Turn On The AutoPilot

I mostly used to fly with the autopilot off because I wanted to get good at hand flying. But I've had enough practice so ill probably start flying autopilot.

Re: Living in hotel rooms

Unless you're getting a cheapo counter-rotating prop heli from radioshack it might be better to get an airplane. I think parkzone makes some nice 2.4 Ghz micro cubs.

http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Defaul ... ID=PKZ1100

Only $159 but you can get a micro heli for that price too.

And global warming hysteria start in 3-2-1 go If a global rollout of nuclear power were to occur the overall climate impact would be reduced. According to Munich Reinsurance company the fingerprint of extreme weather is already present in the North Americas. It's quite simple really, warming air ho...

Flight Schools with MIFR flight test approved simulators

I'm renewing my IFR after 3 years of expiry and i'm looking for flight schools with sims approved for MIFR flight tests. I'm in the Alberta area but willing to travel since a sim is so much cheaper than an airplane.

Haven't flown in three years

Am I too out of date? Will I get hired if I renew my MIFR or should I renew my instructor rating instead?

Re: Job prospects/Road trip this December

So Thunder Airlines gave me a call back. I didn't expect a call so soon, but I got turned down based on two things: 1: I'm out of currency so I won't pass my flight test on a high performance aircraft. This was a worry of mine, that I wouldn't be able to fly an MU-2 after such a long break. I am in ...

Job prospects/Road trip this December

I've been out of the flying game for almost 2.5 years and have decided to give it another shot, just have to get the medical back in order. The university thing just isn't working out. For a pilot with 2100 hrs and 1000 MPIC PA-31 what are the prospects of employment in BC? Or will I need to travel ...

Re: Climate change researchers make dire warning

Actually global warming is a good thing for the corporations and fossil fuels companies in America. 1) Value of commodities go up. Water, food, and wood. 2) Arctic becomes open for exploitation. Upwards of 1/4 of the remaining fossil fuels reserves and unexploited minerals are there. 3) Military wil...

Re: Climate change researchers make dire warning

The full scale of some of those charts is smaller than the accuracy/tolerance/resolution of the instruments used to collect the data in the graphs. All trends are real - regardless of what you think. Let's move on to to observations: Arctic sea ice is melting down, more than 50% since 1965, albedo ...

Re: Climate change researchers make dire warning

Global Warming is the biggest conspiracy since the moon landing, some people say. The worlds national academies are trying to create a One World Order, some say. If they succeed, hopefully no one notices that the climate didn't change, the seas didn't rise and the continents didn't desertify and it ...

Perhaps they make increasingly dire warnings because the situation becomes increasingly dire. Then again, some paid shills (Singer, Lindzen, Spencer, Christy) working for Koch, Exxon, and Peabody say that perhaps it's the sun wot did it. http://i.imgur.com/gP9ik.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Requ...

I can see that you are passionate about your beliefs, and live them, that is to be commended, however you might want to drop all the ad hom and 'denier' hurtful and derogatory language. It makes you sound ignorant and intollerant and in my mind I imagine a corpulant southern red-neck spewing the N ...

Re: Terrifying Views on Climate Change [NO DEPRESSIVES]

You really want to get a grip on polution and save the planet. Figure out how to get rid of 2/3 of the worlds population and everything will be fine...BTW..the technology has been available since about July 1945 to accomplish this. You make too many assumptions about me. I'm also sure that the slum...

Thank you for your opinions. We are each entitled to our opinions, whether or not we have thoroughly and fully investigated the matter. However, we are not entitled to our own fact. Your information of juiced numbers etc is faulty and has been disproven time and time again. You cling to that in hope...

It is a shame you have so much trouble reading 14 pages on the most critical matter of our times. I have read more than 30 books on the subject and provided viewpoints from a number of the best books.

You had the option of bypassing this thread, yet you chose to reply with snark.
