Re: Flight Attendant Interview Questions

As a FA I highly recommend you join the FB group 'Flight Attendant Canada'.

Several Jazz FAs and many others from other companies share info, tips, job postings, etc..

You will find all the relevant info you need there.

Re: Porter competition?

"Canada meets the requirements of 14 CFR 121.436(a)(3) (1000 hrs SIC at Part 121)" Correct, few will meet that. As such, by advertising and receiving no applicants, they can satisfy the Canadian requirements to hire "foreign workers" (Americans) for the positions; as long as they too meet the requir...

Re: Labour Law

Hey there, So, I just asked my partner this as he's a corporate lawyer and deals with this quite often. Any employer can legally lay off staff if there is a lack of work. Regardless as to whether they are unionized or not. A non-unionized employee can only be on layoff status for 13 weeks. Following...

Pasco/WJ Link travel benefits?

Hi there :)

Just curious to know if WJ was kind enough to extend pass benefits to the Pasco staff working on the Link program.

Just curious, that's all :)

Thanks in advance!

Re: Remaining Jazz CRJ100/200 routes?

Thank you Rudder for your quick response, however, it does not answer my question.

The route map does not provide aircraft assignment information for the routes shown.

Remaining Jazz CRJ100/200 routes?

Hi there, I am just curious as to which routes (system-wide) the JAZZ CRJ 100/200's operate on. The TC site has 13 of the -100's registered but can only assume that that doesn't mean all of them are still flying. I've also tried to do a decent search of the forum and also AC's site but not too much ...

Re: First Air Airline Cutlery

Yep, eBay is often searched but only the souvenir spoons are ever listed and I already have a couple. Unfortunately, the spoons were just souvenirs and never part of an actual service :/ I would never ask to have yours as I do like to find things on my own, however, if you do have a pic of it that w...

First Air Airline Cutlery

Hi there - I'm a flight attendant that collects airline cutlery (and other service items) and I am wondering if anyone has any First Air pieces of metal flatware. I can't find any in my regular thrift store searching. Also, I am still looking for Wardair cutlery as well. I have found a lot of the Do...

Twin Otter's 50th Ann'y, Northern Tour 2015! Stories?

May 20th marks the 50th anniversary of the de Havilland Twin Otter’s first flight in 1965. To honor this remarkable aircraft, and its Canadian heritage, Viking will be conducting a 50th Anniversary Celebration flying tour to communities in the Canadian north. Commencing July 1st with a Twin Otter Se...

Air Star - Is anyone familiar with this old company?

Hola! I collect aircraft service items (too many years of slinging food at 35,000' - have taken their effect) and I recently came across a few of these plates near YYZ. The stamps indicates that they were produced for "Air Star" and the phrasing used is the one usually seen on airline china. Anyhoo,...

WANTED Galley carts and cannisters.

Hey there, I am a flight attendant in search of some galley equipment to use in turning my basement into my "man cave". I'm looking for pretty much anything that would be cool. Meal carts, canisters/drawers for storing stuff, glassware, airline posters, etc. Let me know what you have and send me a p...
