After the medical?
Just wondering what the longest you've heard of having to wait after doing a medical to get a call for a course? Also would they notify me if I didn't pass the medical? I did my medical more than 6 weeks ago, references were called but haven't heard anything. The doc in YYZ said that everything look...

Online Application
I just visited the WestJet website and tried to start a online application but was unable to find a pilot job posting. Does anyone know if you have to wait for them to post a job opening or is there another way to start a profile? I couldn't find anything on workopolis either.
Thanks

Jump Seat YVR - HKG ?
I’m planning a trip to Hong Kong next month and am looking for information on using reciprocal jump seat from YVR. My first question is, will this be a huge hassle or will it be fairly close to domestic jump seating? Next Should I try and find the AC crew room in YVR (never been to yvr) or should I ...

Re: flight plan or flight itinerary?
Another good opption for the far north, or any controled and Uncontroled is a Composite Flight Plan. Alows you to Depart IFR, clear controled and then go VFR. or vice versa. Good thing about it in the Artic is that North Bay (Artic Radio) Keeps your flight plan rather than send it to Edmonton (which...

When you have the finger prints done, make sure anything you don't fill out your self you check over. They guy who did mine filled out a part of my name wrong. Then when you send it (probably by FedEx) track it on the net. If you haven't received authorizeation within a day or two after them receivi...

Retirement Gift
I was woundering if anyone had any good ideas about a gift for someone retireing from ATC. After 30 some years (a little tower but mostly IFR) my dad is pulling the plug and I can't think of what to get him. I'm trying to find something to give him that is ATC related rather than just a golf club or...

Dose your AME know that you have a hernia? I thought that they would pull your medical till fixed cause my uncle (not in aviation) put off surgery and ended up keeling over in a curling rink. Had to be rushed to the hospital and operated on. This could be a little inconveinent if you happed to be fl...

If I was to go back, I would have got on the ramp with a company that has a pilot in waiting programe while working on my private and commercial. Then when your name gets close to the top do your MIFR so its all fresh when you do your PCC. Not sure what part of the country you in but Perimeter moves...

I'm thinking about writting my IATRA but i'm woundering if it's worth my time? I have just over 1000 H only 50 multi. Just wondering if many companies other than CMA would not look at you unless you had already written? And before its asked, the reason i don't write my AA's is the way things are goi...

also go read about the instructors that will take you for a 'ride' Not sure what you mean by that, but for a renewal you don't need a recamend, so soon as you think your ready you can do the ride. To keep cost down i would hit the sim hard, and even do a few back seat flights, most schools will set...

Within 6 mounths between the 2 of us we had enough of everything to upgrade us both, but it took us each 10-12 months to get the 3. i had lots of Solos and was busy and he just kept getting hadded 5 hour...
