Re: Ornge Sikorsky Air ambulance accident Northern Ontario
I normally don’t follow these threads...my husband does. Unfortunately, this crash hit a little too close to home. I spent quite a few years working as a medic before our kids were born, alongside some truly amazing men/women. My husband has been a pilot for nearly twenty years. I have been with hi...

Re: MILLARDAIR MRO HANGAR
This gets more interesting by the day. Police have confirmed that Millard tried contacting another person who was selling a Dodge 2500 but the person missed the phone call. I still stand by my first thought, these guys needed something from a Dodge 2500 for their own vehicle. I'll bet they wanted th...

Re: Ornge Sikorsky Air ambulance accident Northern Ontario
If several people saw the helicopter on fire in flight and watched it crash straight ahead into the trees ... The accident happened shortly after midnight and the Herc dropped in SAR techs at 0620. If someone saw the helo airborne and burning, why was the search not initiated immediately with local...

Re: Ornge Sikorsky Air ambulance accident Northern Ontario
Personally I think it's a good idea to ground the fleet. What if a recent "upgrade " was done on all their units and this is what caused the accident? It's cheaper to ground a fleet than having to battle through the legal system (and battle your own self conscience) if another accident occurs. Liab...

Just heard that they've recovered the black box. Hopefully not too long before a few more questions are answered.

Re: Ornge Sikorsky Air ambulance accident Northern Ontario
I feel it's hight time we called into question the necessity and urgency of some of these northern medevacs? Personally I've done many that could well have waited for the "light of day". Or, the following month. Frankly, I'll never do another. Bang on. The majority of these medevacs could be done d...

Re: The Black Hole ast Moosonee
I find it highly unlikely that Don was not experienced at flying on instruments. He worked for years with the MNR in which he would have flown in the similar terrain and used similar equipments. I also find it highly unlikely that ORNGE would hire someone who wasn't proficient on instruments and the...

Aerial view of accident site.
Do you know if that's an area that has been cut to get into the site or is that all caused by the helicopter?

Re: MILLARDAIR MRO HANGAR
There are so many speculations on motive since he seems to be well off. I will bet that he and others were running a chop shop. The accused owns a Dodge Ram 3500, they test drove another man's Dodge 3500 and then Tim Bosma's 3500. They were obviously on the hunt for a Dodge Ram 3500. My best guess w...

Re: Nice Youtube vid of 415's scooping during Timmins blaze
I agree ... definately looks like the best job in the world. Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to fly water bombers.... but now that I can actually afford to pay for flying lessons, I contacted the MNR's fire fighting department and spoke with one of the head guys there ... he told me in order to ...

Re: Northeastern Ontario is on Fire
Watched a couple 215's fly overhead and were heading Westward of Sudbury trailed by a chopper.
According to the news tonight ... 15 fires are burning out of control here in Northern Ontario. We need rain and lots of it.

Re: Helicopter Training Links
Did Canadore College and Gateway Helicopters go their own seperate ways? I see Canadore's flight training program is now done by Essential Helicopters.
Or did Gateway change it's name to Essential? Subsidiary?

Re: CWD - ISTP Have you seen this chick in real life?
I've seen her around town before. She's an attention whore really. Funny that someone mentioned her being at the Grand , because it's true , she's ALWAYS there.... in fact she makes her round to all the bars. I always thought she was a dyke ... and still do , since her and her friend are ALWAYS toge...

Re: 4 die in Algonquin plane crash
What I find odd is that early reports say that they had left Kingston around 4pm which would have brought them into Sudbury near 6:30pm . Family members said they received a call saying the plane was leaving at around 4pm. When the plane didn't arrive on time , the family called in at 8:30 reporting...

Re: 4 die in Algonquin plane crash
Sad incident for sure. They were flying back from Kingston after visiting their oldest daughter who is attending University there. The plane was registered to Kevin Houle , owner of Tracks and Wheels in Sudbury. He , his wife Lorraine , their daughter Emily and Emily's boyfriend Mike were all aboard...

Thanks for the info.
I sent you a PM about a few things ... let me know if you can help out at all. Thanks again.
