Re: Sunwing Adds a New Twist on Foreign Pilots

I agree with you guys, I was on a Sunwing flight to Punta Cana as a passenger a few months ago and I could not understand one thing the FO said during his announcement, it was complete garbled broken english. Thankfully the Captain was Canadian, Captain Curby and his announcement was clear. If there...

Re: Aviation diploma worth my time and money?

Agreed, its about the cost, why would I pay 60 grand when I can pay 10 and not worry about being in debt plus be covered by osap if need be.

Re: Conestoga College, Algonquin College, and Brampton Fligh

I agree with the above posts especially if you are thinking about Conestoga or Algonquin. You will get more out of just doing th...

Confederation College: Flight Program Sault College: Flight Program Seneca College: Flight program Your flight training is covered by the government and you onl...

Re: Cheap Class 1 Medical Exam : Ottawa/Gatineau

Not sure for the Ottawa region but I just did mine and the physical was $100. I think average wise you will most likely be paying that. Also factor in your EKG if you need one and hearing test.

Re: Ontario Flight Colleges - Question/Advice

It doesn't. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have 60 grand laying around to pay for their training so the next best thing is confed, sault, seneca ect.. that take care of the flight training and all you pay for is the college tuition.. Unfortunately with the flight colleges doing well in the non ...

Re: Serious answers where will I get funds from?

All the banks I called for a student line of credit require a co signer before I even told them anything about funds or program name. Basically they said student line of credits require a cosigner because you are not considered to have steady incoming income as a student. Also bank loans require you...

Re: Any info on the Algonquin College program ?

Just a bump to this thread, anyone heading there this fall? I've asked the program coordinator a lot of questions so if anyone needs some answers I'll try my best to answer them.

Re: Air France 447 Reported Missing

Big assumption here but since story is the plane flew through a thunderstorm and could of lost electronics could the radio's have been knocked out resulting in the military responding with fighter aircraft? The area it was flying through was military controlled and I can see no response raising red ...

Any info on the Algonquin College program ?

Just a few questions with which you can maybe direct me with what I should do. Has anyone gone through their 2 year program and can give their input on how it was. Hows the course workload? Is residence the best option for first year or is renting a house a better option? Does OSAP cover any of your...
