Re: Junior Pilots, you have control!
I was part of the 243 pilots that were laid off..and yes the senior pilots all over the system took a large pay cut [% of flying pay] to keep us flying....a much greater amount than junior FO's. They also agree to a second round of pay cuts to keep us from being laid off but Hollis Harris [CEO at th...

Re: CUPE (AC) Supports Those Opposing Mandatory Retirement
600RVR, No offense meant...but seriously you have no idea what you are taking about. It is not entirely your fault...the union has only presented one side of the question. Mandatory retirement is not allowed under the provincial labour code period. But common sense will tell you that is only part of...

Re: YTZ Flying
I think one of the sad things about this possible agreement is that it very confrontational to our fellow pilots at Jazz ....not withstanding that some of them are trying to sue us. It would appear that the MEC believes it knows what's best for us. Why can't we build bridges. Collectively, the profe...

Re: CHRT Remedy Ruling?
The evidence presented at the Tribunal by way of subpoena, not hearsay, was that all big and small airlines in Canada allow their pilots to fly to 65 and some beyond One of the amazing things that happened at the latest Tribunal was that all the airlines that Air Canada subpoenaed allow their pilots...

Re: Bill to ban mandatory retirement...even Air Canada pilot
Yes ...You are right....They do and did draw a line in the sand regarding reinstatement. It was agreed among the parties that Air Canada would have a three month window before pilots would be allowed to return due to a number of rule changes. It was also agreed that this time period would not apply ...

It's been very quiet here.....Realize that as a group we are very divided...so maybe the solidarity and the tentative agreement of the Jazz pilots have left us speechless.....

Anyway...Happy Canada Day !!

Re: Service disruptions during Jazz strike
Thanks for the spell check.............Just my opinion but i believe the majority wants this....not only the senior 777 Captains........The 51% would include pilots that realize that the world has changed and this is a rights issue................Anyway be well....Max111

Re: Service disruptions during Jazz strike
Yes! Because the roles might be reversed next spring perhaps. Maybe it is time to bury the hatchet and support fellow colleagues looking to better work conditions? How about supporting the 25% to 51 % of the active pilots that want to have the option to fly past 60...ops forgot.....You're very sele...

600RVR No offense meant...But you have no clue as to what you are talking about ! The senior pilots have been helping the junior pilots all these years....but...

Sad to see that you can't read........Like most of your posts its 100% Buffalo Burgers. These are from ACPA's actuaries..........But don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant. It is the text of our pension plans that currently includes the language for mandatory retirement, which is included...
