Re: Loose Bose A20 Mic boom
Had the same problem. A20 out of Warranty. Walked into BrantAero (Brantford airport), and had it fixed. They did a full makeover replacing wires, pads, etc…cost around $150 if I remember right. Was 2017 I think. They said I could wait around and they’ll be done in a couple hours too. Great service.

Remind me again about those pilots. Who and why weren’t they allowed to bump down?truecolours wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 2:58 pmOr all the laid off pilots who weren’t allowed to bump because… that’s a “grey area” or not “the intention” of the pta.WaldoPepper wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:01 pm I wonder how all the pilots who bumped down to Encore will vote.

Go work the ramp in northern Ontario. You’ll get in shape, have a good work ethic, learn humility, make life long friends, gain extremely valuable life experience, and with the right company you’ll have all your hours for ATPL and legitimate experience both flying and decision making.

20 years in and this industry has sucked any joy or love for flying out of me. That’s the saddest part…

In what situation would a pilot not have seniority to hold an Encore position in May, but does now with 47 recalled?

Re: Joining the RCAF at 37 years old
I do appreciate this discussion and the replies thanks guys. Unfortunately I do lack a degree, and still wish to fly for a living (I consider 250 hours a year doing something else while flying on the side). Interesting information

Re: Joining the RCAF at 37 years old
Well that’s just it. From what I’ve heard from ex forces pilots who now fly on the airlines there’s a shortage in the forces... I have no grand illusions of flying fighters or front line ops etc. But where is the need? IHercs, SAR?

Was there some kind of app or software to remove ads? I seem to recall hearing about one... Ads never bothered me but this new flashing Georgian one is kickstarting an epileptic seizure.

I can sympathize with the desire for language with regards to backward mobility in the event of layoffs. However, now that the one list is no more, what exactly has that accomplished besides a deep divide among pilot groups?
