Re: Spring YVR Course.
Ya I wouldn't call it so much waiting but more like hoping for a call for an IFR course. They mentioned something about May when I interviewed as well. Just figured we were coming within 3 months of that time frame. Just lookin to see if anyone else has got the call.

NavCanada Reference Checks
Hi Everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone knows if NavCan still uses Backcheck to complete their reference checks.
Also, do they call only the reference contacts that you provide or is everything on your resume fair game?
Just wondering.
Cheers.

Not bashing the pilots whatsoever.... The pilots are second to none and a fantastic group of individuals and I never hesitate to tell anybody that.

PPL Groundschool Powerpoint
Good Day All, I was hoping that someone out there would be able to help me. I am a full time medevac pilot and I volunteer my time to teach teh Air Cadets their initial PPL ground school so that they can be eligible to the flight scholarship. I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to support...

Well tell her to enjoy it! I could tell that she was very new to "commercial flying" so its a rare case where people actually have something positive to say about someone else on these forums, so mark it on the calendar, and thanks for making our day at the esso, she was very happy to be at work as ...

Abbotsford Airshow 2009 Disappointment
I went to the Abbotsford Airshow today as I do every year, except this time for the first time in a long time I wasn't working one of the static displays. I was overall very disappointed this time around! 1.) Several volunteers that I ran into were outright rude not only to me but to other visitors ...

Re: Jumpseat agreement vs passes ?
Nowhere does it say that recip jumpseat is for commuters only. It is a benifit shared by pilots. On a first come first serve basis, and at the discretion of the captain. One would hope that if 2 pilots were standing by for one jumpseat that the individual traveling for pleasure would have the decenc...

Its aweful that this happened? Can someone PM me if they know the nationality of the crew.
On a lighter note, I always hated 8Q-MAG when I was over there. I still have scars on my leg from being a clutz and falling off the float.

Re: WJ-AC Reciprocal Jumpseat
Nope I dont work for borek, im pretty sure Borek doesnt have any jumpseat or pass agreements other than with Canadian North, and this isnt a personal beef. It definitely makes sense as far as frequency goes for wja guys commuting to Atlantic Canada. I guess that all im trying to say is it would be n...
