If they are certified to do Canadian medicals then you are all good. They stamp the book and send the paperwork in. No big deal.

Re: AC Video Interview

24 questions, 18 quick yes/no and 6 long answer (why AC? etc.). Laptop works best, would have to download HireVue app on mobile device, not sure if that works well. Hear back within 2 weeks it seems like. Link is valid for 2 weeks too so don’t waste a ton of time preparing.

Anybody know if you selected the second option “working knowledge” for French if some of the video interview is in French?

FPOKA this has probably sparked the best thread this site has seen in ages lol. I appreciate all the facts and insight. The more pilot experiences at each airline can let people make the best decision for themselves. Now when is AC calling me??? 8)

Anybody that asks why people with lots if experience are applying to AC haven't worked/lived in the hole that is everything from Beijing to Istanbul. There's a reason people immigrate to canada and not the other way around! #expatforlife #getmeouttahere

Did everybody get an email no matter what? Did some who apply get nothing? Just wondering if the pfo email is something like still being on their radar since it says "may" be contacted in the future. Thoughts?

Re: Aviation Degree vs. University Degree

Let's not confuse now with 2012. Until guys start getting accepted to ground schools will we know what the off the street hiring requirements are. In 2012 they were taking ATPLs and two feet and a heart beat. Supply and demand. Seems like everyone applying now may have 3-4-5000 hours so competition ...

Just curious what people thought. I was contacted for an interview in 2012 but had made a commitment elsewhere at the same time and politely declined. I'm applying again now and wondering what that effect if any will have on my current prospects.

New Cathay Pacific Deal

I was just curious as to how the new deal that is being offered at Cathay Pacific compares to the pre-recession deal and the one that was offered earlier this year. It seems that there is a lot of talk about how bad the post-recession offer was (I agree it was a fraction of what the original was) bu...

Cuban cigars to Canada

Hey there, Once and for all I'd like the final answer, if we can come up with it, as to whether or not you can bring Cuban cigars on a plane to Canada. The scenarios would be: 1. Flying from Mexico through the US and having to pick up your checked bag as you connect in, let's say Dallas, en route Va...

PCC has a Mr. Clarke as head of pilot recruitment. Safe to say that that is who cover letter should be addressed to?
