I own a 1967 Cessna 150H parked outside at Nanaimo airport in the NAC transient parking area. There are currently 3 block pilots, but only one of them uses the aircraft consistently. I started flying in 1980 and so knew nothing about the CFS protest in the 70s until you mentioned it--thanks. I'm glad it worked. I've always thought the CFS in its current format is a huge waste of time, energy, money and resources. I like the idea of regional flight supplements, but if the CFS were available in .pdf format, that's where I'd get my copy. Then I could print what I need. I like even better the idea that the CFS...

As you know, ELTs fail a large percentage of the time, so how would the Spot fit into this discussion? Of course, it's not an ELT, but it seems it's far more reliable. You can set up a "bread crumb" trail; where the trail stops is the exact location of the aircraft. Also, they are much cheaper than ...
