Re: Green Airways
That's what I figured when I talked to Jack a few years ago. Seems like a really good operation. I was just scared there was a big up-rising within the ranks or other scary news. Sad to hear about one of the owners dying. I believe I have heard his name, just can't recall it at the moment.

Do I give them a resume, or do I run and hide?
Also, 877 revenue hours seems pretty low for 5 aircraft in a season. Pilots sure aren't running into duty time issues there.

Make a double row with the 7 cyl R2800 110hp engine. 14 cylinders and ~200hp. That's closer to the power that an RV8 should have.Big Pistons Forever wrote:Too bad they don't make a twin row version........

I'm curious, why is the prop on the HA turbo otter feathered? I see no operational advantages in doing so.

The west doesn't want to stomach another Iraq-like war.

Re: Interesting parallels
Two years ago, I worked for one company that treated their employees like crap. I didn't give a rats ass about that company. I would swear in front of customers, not care about their issues, or delivering the services properly. Sure, I'd get the job done, but I'm sure I left a bad impression about m...

A letter from Revenue Canada could be a tax rebate. Judging by pilot pay, it probably is.

If employers paid decent wages and treated employees properly, then nobody would have to pay unions to bitch and complain Yeah, I thought the $28 per hour that Canada Post was paying high school dropouts was criminally low. We should bring back Reagan style strike negotiations. 1981 ATC strike ring...

Of course I've had shitty jobs, but I just found a new one. Employees are worth what they demmand. If your not getting paid fairl...

Re: Best Bear gun?
Anything short of a howitzer and your not going to drop a bear. You need to trick the bear into thinking us flimsy little meat bags are actually stronger than it is. Rubber buck shot is going to cause a lot of pain, and the accompanying loud noise will probably convince it that you are stronger. If ...

When young Jimmy get his fresh PPL, and takes Ma and Pa for a flight in the 172. Ma and Pa pay for the flight. Is that illegal?
The flight wouldn't have happened without Ma and Pa

Re: 185 Lean of Peak on Floats
Flying LOP won't hurt an engine if you use low power settings. For higher compression, normally aspirated engines like the IO-520, I'd be scared to go above 23" and be LOP. That works great in little over-powered rocket-ships, but in a C185, run it 24 squared, and 100 degrees rich. If you want to sa...

GP what? I use a MAP.
In seriousness, how many 180s do you think have a GPS in them? I have a hand-held hiking GPS to help me out, but the old fashoned map is what I use 99% of the time.
