Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
My friends were just contacted by Air Transat informing them that their November flight to the UK has been cancelled. Seems a bit far off to be cancelling??

2000ft has been heard of in Canada (not me of course) . I have seen demo guys pulling that kind of thing but we did get the jump height from the media so.........

Re: Jump Pilot or Aerial Photo Pilot?
Flying with the door open and people hanging off of the strut, having to know what to do if a pilot chute goes over the tail etc IS NOT quality flying hours? I would say that it is far superior to putting around in a 152 and staying in hotel rooms. Building relationships and connections at the drop ...

Re: Toronto man survives skydive plunge after parachute tangles
Probably had a malfunction, fought it too long and AAD fired reserve into main. Unfortunately happens more than you think. Seen people fight line twists until impact. Could be a few other things too though. (All of which can be solved by either proper maintenance of gear, proper procedures or both.

Big "Thank You" to the Boeing guy in the Challenger
One of our friends happened to be flying into CYBL to drop off some passengers and then heading off again. Its been years so we trundled up to the airport to go say a quick hello before he headed off his next leg. Whilst waiting a Challenger arrived, unloaded and then one of the pilots came running ...

Alberta Skydivers. Build pic on a 182, 205, 206. They pay a decent salary and feed you. Great people to work for. Do not confuse with some other operations who don't pay etc. This is a solid outfit.

Hope you come back to post how your efforts are going. We would certainly like to see good news. At the end of the day....take what information will help you. Hang in there, compartmentalize the douchebags from the good men/women and get on with it. The first while is always hard but if you keep you...

Re: Looking for a job at WEST WIND?
West Wind was great when we were there. Always knew what was going on schedule wise, great people, great atmosphere, support from above, time off, good equipment, epic golf tournaments and slow pitch league. Being your first post I have to wonder if you are disgruntled. :goodman: We made the most of...

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa
My wife and I joined our local (at the time) Flying Club. We are in our thirties, my wife is a pilot and I am a tag along enthusiast. The club introduced us at our first meeting and we were made to feel very welcome. We got involved with events, COPA for kids and had a fantastic time. My wife flew a...

Re: A few moments from 2013
Thanks John. The boy sure loves flying and we have been fortunate to have some great friends who can get him up in the air. We were surprised at how relaxed he was in the video and I loved seeing his eyes light up when they lifted off. We miss Vernon and its flying community, there really is not one...

My wife is a corporate pilot and not home very much. We have a 4 year old boy, I am self employed and a full time Dad :) She loves flying, loves being a Mum and understands that there are important things she will miss at home. We FaceTime and Skype, take video of the little guy doing awesome 4 year...

Anderson Air YVR will be the first Canadian Sovereigns to have them. (from the Grapevine.) Will be interesting to see what actual improvements they will provide. Does make it look even nicer.
