Re: THE WORLD'S FIRST JET PILOT
Mr Wings. I was reminded of how horrible a situation our soldiers were put into because of a truly evil leader and a nation so enamoured and willing to blindly follow him. WW2 is a terrible black mark in our worlds history. Blaming the average German citizen of the time as blindly following a madman...

Re: Straight-in Approaches
GPS units typically won't automatically set their CDI scale down to ±0.3NM Very true, however you can manually set them to 0.3nm. If you are doing an RNAV overlay of a VOR or NDB approach, why would you bother monitoring the navaid? You are still doing the NDB approach, using the GPS (RAIM Availabl...

Re: Straight-in Approaches
I have asked this question to several TC inspectors on different occasions. What is unsafe about this scenario? NDB A Approach into Sumspot, AB. Using an IFR approach approved GPS receiver, with RAIM Available, intercepting the final Approach Course within the PT protected area at sector altitude, s...

Is Calm air's routes in and out of Rankin Inlet Nunavut their own or Canadian North's?....... If not their own I Imagine Dash-8s will be showing up there in the near future. Maybe the current owners saw the end in sight?

Re: Summit Air
Please note, I am not jumping to conclusions or pointing fingers or blaming anyone. I have flown North of 60 for a while, made all of the usual mistakes and even a few very unusual ones. This could happen to anyone. A little complacency, mixed with a long day (or night), missed altimiter transition,...

In my opinion I think the fundamental problem with initiating a guild or association is that the majority of pilots feel/think that there is a competion between each other. Compete to get that first ramp/instructing job. Compete to get on the line/bag run first and so on. The problem in making a sta...

Another ATPL question.
I know that the SARON/SAMRA written exams are valid for two years by default. If you are an active flight crew on a transport category aircraft over 12500 do the same rules apply? Or does this keep them active (for lack of a better term.).

serious legal repercations can be taken by taking peoples pictures without their consent... I disagree with that. Is that ramp private? If you can see it with your eyes you can snap it with a camera.
