Re: Read it and weep Pappy

I don’t usually write much on this forum but will offer my two cents on this one. The US foreign policy is a joke as is our stance on governments around the world. It is no surprise to me that the west…specifically the US is regarded with such disdain by so many populations around the world. I’m not...

I'm not sure that this much public outrage over an event like this qualifies as Canadian apathy.

Yeah, hard to understand why you don't get any respect from FAs with that attitude. I'm sure your fellow pilots all appreciate the fact that you think no one deserves a license except you.
Look in the mirror...there's your trouble.

So for a real answer.... I used to get mine done by H & R Block of all people. Its really not too difficult, you could probably even try it yourself if you wanted. His employer should provide him with a form at tax time indicated that he does qualify for the credit. Exploration, humanitarian and UN ...

Well, unfortunately the argument isn’t ridiculous. I have a few friends who are long term MJ users and I am here to tell you from personal experience that they do suffer from altered thinking patterns in the long term. Sorry to burst your bubble.

A pair of round engines and an airplane made in the forties requires special talent...especially on wheel/skis. Everything after that just gets easier.

The people who should speak to if Afghanistan is worth it or not are the people doing the fighting on our behalf over there, or their families. Do they see results? Do they think their comrades are dying for a worthwhile cause? Do they believe the Afghans lives are better? I am tired of armchair qua...

I know who CID is looking for...lets see if he shows up.

As for me, I enjoy reading both Cat and CIDs point of views. I find them both informative and at least thought does go into what they post....unlike a select few on this forum.

The whole initial training bond thing has been covered at length already and I agree (somewhat) with your summation of that topic however: Do not sign or even think about signing a renewal bond. If they dont value you enough as an employee after 24 months to keep you current and that you are already...

If your word isn't good enough then you are a waste of skin....goes for the pilot and the employer. Training bonds are not the answer.... You are correct in that this will never be settled but I've known far more mangers who were terrible at their jobs than pilots (read Jetsgo), the industry tends t...

Get to really know who you're hiring, phone references and find out how often they move around. Take time to have a good interview with a potenial hire and if you pick them right you shouldn't have to worry about them leaving for at least a year, which is a reasonable length to expect someone to sta...
