Really? ACr is operated by ACPA pilots. Had they out-sourced the flying like Qantas did with Jet Star (and it was tremendously close), I'd agree - but I digress.
Interesting article.

Re: Commuter towns west of YYZ
Stoney Creek (Hamilton). 45 mins driveway-parking garage @ 120. 407 access ... but don't use it all the time. If commuting during rush...sometimes as long as 1:15 (unless a drunk dump truck driver takes out the Burlington Skyway bridge). Constant morning rush hour traffic stretches from Grimsby east...

No date has been set for a ratification vote. An extensive cross-country roadshow is underway to roll out the details. Both company and ACPA are giving the members time to digest the facts before rushing to vote.

Re: Rouge rosters?
LOL looks like I threw a match into gasoline. But looking back I guess my statement re: 777 CA pay was a bit misleading. You work to earn your pesos. We're a bit short handed and the company has been drafting a lot. One Capt pulled in 28k in the month (albeit 4 or 5 of that was from the ACPA profit ...

YUL base is opening up for the 319. 10 spots. Will likely grow.
319 is starting florida layovers.
When you take a breath and look at how pay is awarded...it's a pretty good deal. A few 67 skips are making 777CA pay (if not more). Floating around a pool on a noodle for 2 days aint bad either.

I'll try and remember that on the 48 hour layover in Athens, while on the beach.
Looks like everyone except for France and Swiss have figured out the "ROU" call-sign.

Ya, well, unfortunately Canadian law seems to be largely influenced by fortune.
There's no punishment too cruel for those found guilty. Even death would be too easy.

Re: Porter/Bombardier set to announce CS100 order . . .
@ Dash-Ate: My point was that JetsGo had significantly deeper-rooted problems other than a second type in the fleet. For instance, its CEO. Valid point re: fleet diversification, associated cost, and financial transparency. But I highly doubt Porter would pay less on the C than on the Q400. Performa...

Ehh, no. Michel Leblanc killed JetsGo, along with his other 6 failed airlines.Dash-Ate wrote:Some say the additional Fokker 100 type killed Jetsgo...if they'd just stuck to their core type & routes.

Interesting point. Yes, if force reduced to Rouge, one would be pay "grandfathered".
There is no guarantee one would be force reduced.
Don't forget airplane-for-airplane.
The company still has to crew the new 777s and 787s.

Should Relief or Augment pilots log time?
When the Capt is on break, should he/she be logging PIC?
If you take Controlled Rest at the controls, should you log time?

You will probably need a letter from your company, on company letterhead.
Anything less may not work. They are strict on the rules.
Also ensure your two references are available at any point during the day for a phone interview by an Officer.

I've done it many times. Takes a few hours to obtain your new one. Fill out the paperwork ahead of time. Cross the "T"s and dot the "I"s. Obtain a letter from your company stating your position, and that the document is required for work. If possible provide your next flight date, number, and destin...
