When getting switched over from controllers while climbing or descending they call out their current altitude and the altitude they are cleared to. Assuming they were already radar identified by the last controller they were speaking with ie. Terminal etc. is this this necesary or just "fashionable...

What about similar phraseology for IFR clearance while still on the ground? For example (you're on the ground in Grande Prairie): "ATC clears C-FAAA to the Edmonton City Centre Airport via Grande Prairie direct, maintain FL210, squawk 1234". duplicate...do you or have you flown a 55, 60 or a 60 XR. I fly both the 60 and 60XR. The 55 is shorter than the 60, different engine manufacturer, totally different avionics (the 60 has fully intergrated Collins Pro Line 4), and shorter range. Not even close. The 60XR on the other hand is the same...
