Your missing the point. When you are studying to eventually become a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer the focus should be on aircraft systems, theory ect..Your options could include a few others but it should not take-away from the meat. Either way the other schools mentioned have a much bette...

I'm assuming you mean the Aerospace technology course? It is most likely the worst one offered in Canada. Very little hands on, and what you do get sucks, nothing I learned from Abbott applies to my job in anyway. On top of this it is a 3 year course with the last year being at a French college and ...

Actually there is an accelarated method to go from 120 to 180, I can't remeber all that WJ has to do but the basics are contsant data on engine and APU data both from WJ and Boeing, as well the in flight shutdown, diversion ect.. limits are lower. WJ will have ETOPS of 180 mins this fall providing a...

Boeing does not make ETOPS regs, neither can they demand anything from a regulatory body. They can have specs, limits, recommendations whatever but the decision of what needs to be done for an ETOPs flt, a Cat 2 or Cat 3 approach rests with TC. Wityh the current reliability of the CFM's Boeing would...

You should try L3 communications in Mirabel, the are currently doing the o/h and upgrades on the CF-18's. My understanding is they are bringing in a lot of out of country contractor's due to lack of military experience of the work force. They bought out Bombardier's defence division in Mirabel, appa...

I've heard 600k from mntc dept. As for savings there are some savings right off the bat.Lower reduced take off thrust, reduced fuel load as you are legally able to factor in the fuel savings data that Boeing has proven. Therefore less over all fuel load. I've never heard 7% to 8% yet, I have been to...

Plugs will be offered to replace windows for existring NG's with eyebrow windows. As said they were deemed uselless and pilot response showed that there were rarely used and more of nuissance with the sun shinning in. There is also a significant cost savings as these windows are costly to replace wh...

I don't think they still make parts for the Fokkers but they do overhaul them. I do know my friends have complained on many occasions about the lack of parts, but seem to think it will get better once the 2 slated for parts are fully stripped. They are able to rob some from the a/c in check at Nordt...

I was recently working with dome DL guys and they were making between 32-35 usd/hour, at Fedex I'm told a line lead is making 45 usd/hour. Granted you need to have a green card but you never know...

Return the direct buy's? The leased aircraft? Why return used aircraft when you could just halt delivery of on coming models. I think you got it wrong, nobody wants their aircraft back, especially Boeing or leasing companies, if they did you would see a whole lot more of that type of stuff going on ...
