Re: Haemochromitosis and Cat 1?
There is zero issue as long as you maintain treatment. Your Av Dr will likely want to see your clinical records to monitor your ferritin, cbc, etc or have independent blood work done, not sure. Feel free to PM me to discuss further. I will gladly share my experiences.

Re: Overtime available
I am also furloughed, but I get it that there are OT flights available. Unscheduled flights, last minute changes, things very dynamic for the company trying to squeeze every penney they can find. These are tough times...I can very much tell you how tough it is. Perhaps a solution to this and everyon...

Field Aviation sells the Lightspeed headsets and can do basic troubleshooting and minor repair. Anything more than that they will send it out to the factory for repair.

CanJet Operations Suspended Indefinitely
Sept. 1, 2015 CanJet pilots, This morning I received a phone call from CanJet President Stephen Rowe. Unfortunately, the company will be ceasing flight operations effective today, September 1, 2015. Mr. Rowe indicated that a representative from CanJet’s HR department will be contacting each of you. ...

Re: Any Type rated 737 Canadian pilots still out there ?
I heard a rumour stating that when Air Transat put out an ad for Seasonal B737 Pilots, including Captains, that no B737 rated Captains applied. Can this be true ? A friend of mine applied for a seasonal Capt position and has not heard a thing. He is very experienced and current on the NG... Not cor...

Re: A new start up airline out of YVR?
And where is Canadian now? I think the statement is true that Canada cannot support another airline. But I think it's more than likely, if these guys get off the ground, they won't be around long, etc, Jetsgo, Harmony, Vista, Greyhound, Zoom......[/quote] Actually, Greyhound was shut down by Laidlaw...

Re: Absurdity at its worst
I think that considering the fact that the Canjet contract is till in effect and that it is Canjet and not Air Transat 737s that will do the flying this winter, all that could have been expected of Transat is to try and have their laid off pilots fly the Canjet aircraft instead of the 59 TFW worker...

Re: Absurdity at its worst
Gilles, With all due respect, the 6 week course is not the only thing that is required to qualify for these positions. There is also the 100 hours of line indoctrination (less for those with similar type, but still 50minimum ). This line indoctrination takes time, which Canjet does not have this tim...

Re: Canjet going under (again)?
Heard today from a friend in YHZ that none of the leases on the office spaces in the out-bases have been renewed for next year (YUL,YYZ,YVR)...so..it is indeed not looking too good at this point and still no straight answer from management! Why would you turn this into a doom and gloom spin? Why wo...

I'm talking about passengers booking Club Class seats or ''option plus'' and not be able to benefits from the perks they paid for. Re: Sunwing/Canjet fleet and foreign pilots winter 2012-2013
Canjet also uses the YUL simulator for YUL based pilots mostly. Not enough time slots with one sim and 2 companies fighting for it. Plus zero backup for when this sim is down.

I am wondering why this post has died. I would have thought that YYZ Centre guys/girls might have some input. Or maybe they are as frustrated as us, with these inefficient, poorly designed STARs. There are one or two arrival controllers who give "track miles to touchdown" or "12 mile final"...The be...

Re: Cost Index
So, how does this all tie in with Canjet flying Air Transat paint on up to 12 hulls next winter? What are we going to throw on the side? "Transat Express"? ALPA needs to voraciously throw this one down, or give up as our representatives. Believe me: letters are going out to both National and Lee Mo...
