Do they hire people with like just over 1000hour TT and 500multi as stated?
Or is it competitive?
2 year bond? Wow!
What's the 2nd year pay like?
I've read that you start in the morning and come home at night.
Do you still get paid in between? What do you do? Stay in the hotel?

Re: ATPL
So, When I get 750TT and have accomplished all the requirements. I am allowed to write the 3 exams?
Then why is there a 1500TT requirement for the ATPL?

Re: Wabusk air?
Lots of hours to do! PA31 and BE10. Charter and cargo (pop and chips). Moosonee can be a lot of fun, but it's not for everyone, it's a northern town. I don't regret having been there, I had a great time. How many hours do you work per month as F/O or Captain Navajo? How much did you make per hour? ...

Re: Airline Upgrade Question
Theoretically, yes. But remember, a lot of F/O's will be jumping ship -also, nowadays, since most operators of 3 crew aircraft are night cargo outfits, most of the Captains will not be staying until retirement, so both levels will experience turnover. So, for the new pilots placed as second officer...

Airline Upgrade Question
Here is a scenario: Lets say X Airline’s most captains will be retiring 20 years later. Does that mean the first officer’s will be staying in the right seat for another 20 more years? If you fly a 747, 727 you’re most likely to be starting of as a second officer. So, does that mean you wont be livin...

Northern Air Charter
The co-pilot requirement is 500TT, but does anyone know if they'll hire you AT 500TT or is that the absolute minimum (not really a guaranteed a job); for example Air Canada’s minimum is 1000TT but they usually hire people who has around 3000TT +! My second question is that what is the minimum averag...

Re: Jumpseat agreement vs passes ?
But getting free passes for your family isn't it also a great benefit to become a pilot? Sure, there is other benefits such as health and other but that's what everyone else gets. Jumpseat is great for pilots. But, free limited passes will be great. What do you guys think? Is ALPA pilots in canada g...

Re: Multi-IFR Training
Hey all, I'm looking for some advice on where to go do my IFR. I already have my CPL, but no multi rating. I would really prefer to do the training on the west coast as a combined/back to back course. Looking to hear all of your experiences with FTU's out west, good or bad. Also, what aircraft woul...

It goes in TC record, but no employer I know of will ask for PPL exam marks/attempts.
Some employers however, will ask for your INRAT score, when presenting it, the sheet says how many attempts were made.
Cheers,
Wolfie
What's a INRAT score?

Private Pilot Exam Questions
My friend from flight school failed his PPL exam, I forgot which section, but my question is will it effect him in the future? Is it in his record so when he goes to apply for a job and interview, will they see that he failed?

Re: ATPL
Dual counts towards the total time portion and I believe that's it other than the instrument time since the rest is PIC specific or Co Pilot as in F/O. The instrument time can be dual since it's hard to fly under the hood solo, or atleast not very safe :) . Hahaha! Ya, I dont want to be flying inst...

Re: ATPL
These are all valid questions but I think you should worry about getting a private and commercial license before you start thinking about an ATPL... Spend your time learning the theory and learning how to fly, this stuff will all make sense when it comes time to do it. Thank you for the advice. I a...

Re: ATPL
Thank you for your reply. Just to be clear: 750hours should be from the list - PIC or Co-pilot time Co-pilot time is worth 50%- example: 100hrs co-pilot= 50hrs pic under supervision 1500 hours can be from anything after the requirement such as dual, co-pilot, PIC Dual time is worth 100% just like th...

I was looking through sites to see what the requirements were for an ATPL. This is what I found: Training Program Transport Canada does not require a flight test for the ATPL license, only flight experience. There is no theory course for the ATPL, but applicants must complete 3 written exams (coveri...
