Wasaya Direct Entry Pilatus Captain
Wasaya is a decent sized operation. Is there really nobody in-house they could upgrade?

Re: YWG Restrictions - AGAIN!
Exceptions to this of are course the long weekend :P I am not speculating or anything but last weekend we got a call and 3 controllers just happened to not be at work. I keep hearing this over and over from both controllers and pilots. Obviously the system for sick days is being abused by some of t...

Re: A water bomber question.
The fires in B.C. are now being described as the worst ever. B.C. is now turning to other nations to request aid. Ontario is cold and soaked again this year. Do the crew contract requirements for time off with family prohibit working far away from their home bases?

Oh, sorry. Yes, file IFR for your whole trip if you got the rating and want to go to the Peg. Anyone call in sick today?Jerricho wrote:=
Respectfully Easy Flyer it's not a good idea. It's trying to play games. Why not file IFR in the first place?

Exactly Cat.
Yes, there is two seat version also. There are pictures of it in this thread.
No one is suggesting the Bombardier captains are to fly them. They should fly the Bombardiers. Is that why they are all so defensive?

Re: A water bomber question.
So, for the price of their 9 - 415's, Ontario could get 130 Firebosses Thats about how many they'd need to offset 9 415's :D I agree that the 415 is the superior aircraft. Vastly superior in some aspects. Whether it is 14 times better is something that a lot of 415 operating nations and parts of th...

Re: A water bomber question.
To answer Cat's original question: CL-415 about $26 Million USD - about 1,620 US gallons. AT-802 Fireboss about $1.8 Million USD - about 820 US gallons. Source: Wikipedia. Please correct me if any of the figures are way off. So, for the price of their 9 - 415's, Ontario could get 130 Firebosses. I'l...

Re: YWG Restrictions - AGAIN!
"Ok, we want IFR!" Good idea. I wouldn't take it personally. They worked the system to get where they needed to go. If it's unsafe to have smaller VFR traffic there and you don't want them coming in IFR either than restrict them based on MTOW. I think the mirth you heard in their voice wasn't a "f*...

No. I think some day you will regret being used like that.
You might be able to make more from the change that falls out of passengers pockets into the seats. Seriously.

Hmmmm, ecstatic that you get to leave at 60. While the folks at Conair get frustrated that they have to give it up at 65. I know where I'd rather spend the next 30 years.... I mean 35Driving Rain wrote:60 years old!!!!!!!

?? They're no Fox News eh? Great story. I didn't realize how much work and research Viking had to do figure out how the plane was built originally. I thought it would just be a matter of dusting off the tools, jigs, and reading up on the plans. No one ever thought that it would enter producti...

The Americans let it go quite a while before trying to top the IL-76. How many AT-802's you could have for one of these? I won't ask how many 415's because I'm afraid the answer will be less than one.

Mike B,
You seem to have a lot of posts about how to board aircraft, what aircraft types are doing what flights, security checks, passports, etc.
Can I ask what you do for a living?

Hope you enjoy the money you received for enabling the destruction of other people. Is it any worse than the damage done by daily loads of pop, chips and kfc into the northern communities? Not in my opinion. Good point. There is a very nervous pilot out there right now thinking about prison. Probab...

There are probably a lot of people on here laughing about how someone could complain about having to work 4 months a year. Re: PC 12 Crash "After the pilot reported losing the panel"
Does anyone know about the pilot's previous experience? The PC-12 is single engine and is quite easy to fly so it seems to attract a lot of the lower time pilots that normally would be in piston singles. I remember when I was at Simcom a few years ago the other fellow on my course had never flown an...
