Re: Canadian Norths New Deal

FAF inbound, My intention was to ask an honest question to a useful post. The fact that different types within Canadian North's fleet command different per-diems caught my attention. Whether or not I personally have or have not spent thousands of dollars buying groceries at the North Mart (or wings...

Ummm... you've never shopped for groceries or eaten out in YFB, have ya?
It's a tad more expensive than down South.

Hey johnholmes! I'll see your 1700/mo and show you a metro operator that apparantly pays 19K/yr (1583.33 /month) AND has you sign a bond to boot! Quit complaining, or don't buy the $14 milk... you could always buy and bring powdered milk Still, enjoy the first few 1000 hours of flying and learn as m...

Yup, Transport will accept an MS Excel or spreadsheet logbook. As long as it has the same info as you would see in your handwritten book, it should be fine.

You'll be happy, once you're finished.

Cat has nailed it on the head... I was meerly pointing out you can't just have a photocopy as a longterm replacement. Sure we want to save money and the paperwork can be a pain, but you gotta get the replacements started at least. Every situation can offer flexibility within reason. As for the books...

Depends on who you ask...

I'll bite: If your one and only logbook spontaneously combusted and you didn't have any way of going back to aircraft logsheets to transcribe your flight history, you are supremely FUBARed. Think about this, if you have a lengthy book as it is. Photocopies are good for a backup system, but WHY would...

SOOOOOO CLOSE

I'm 3.9 hours short on night PIC for the A-license and had the exams written and all the hours for about a year now. Would pay for it myself, but eventually it'll happen on its own. Wow, Snowgoose! I understand that nobody should have to pony up to get bits and pieces filled in for their ATPL requi...

Pika, you must have great connections! I know occasionally there are the rare seat sales, but on average the fare will soak you at least 500 bones. Panama Jack has hit the nail on the head... there's more to a HI trip than just the airfare. Even with an air/hotel combo, have you seen some of those n...

With Aloha Airlines fighting off receivership and cutting service from YVR to the islands effective mid-April, it makes sense that another company with similar aircraft and certification could have a go at it. I would like to see them pull it off. It would offer more choices to get to these sunspots...

Forgive my ignorance, as I'm not exactly sure where the "old" Fedex hangar may be... but does this mean they're moving BACK to the Esso Avitat? I thought that's where Platinum started. Hope they get things going.

They're heeeeeerrre....

I spied with my little eye, 3 little ex-Westex Metros parked near Propair's ramp at CYUL. C-GWXX, C-GWXZ, C-FTIX. Looks like C-GWXZ has been there a while, being a snow encrusted popsicle. Is Propair or another company expanding their Metro fleet in CYUL?
