Quick question,
Got my cat 1 taken away from me about 6 months ago as I had to go on a SSRI. Does anybody know if it's possible to get a cat 1 back while on the meds? Has anybody else been in the same situation?
Cheers

Re: Ramp or Instruct?
Thank you everybody for your opinion. Question: Ramp or instruct? Answer: Instruct. Instruct with passion, otherwise don't do it. Student comes first, hours come second . Absolutely: The industry already has too many instructors just putting in time at the expense of their students, don't be another...

Re: Ramp or Instruct?
Thanks for the insight guys! I 100% agree with you both when it comes to instructing and making sure you actually are doing it because you want to and not to pad the log book. I do genuinely like helping/teaching people, and feel that it would be a great way for myself to keep learning the many new ...

Ramp or Instruct?
Just out of curiosity, what do most of you think the best (using it lightly) way for a low time pilot to entry the industry is with regard to ramping or instructing?
I know there are definitely pro's and con's for each, but was curious to see what others think.
Thanks

Re: Places to get an instructor rating?
Hey guys, Another quick question. I've heard at WWFC you have to book planes well in advance in order to get them at a good time, and if you're weathered out it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to pick up a flight the next day. Just out of curiosity, would it be best to then steer towards a sch...

Re: Places to get an instructor rating?
Great thanks for all the info guys! It's definitely got the gears turning. As far as WWFC goes, do they normally hire back their instructor students? I'll be making a trip down soon to speak to people, however was just wondering if anybody knew off the top of their head. Also, one more quick thing. ...

Re: Places to get an instructor rating?
Great, thanks for the advice loopa. I appreciate it.
Out of curiosity, how hard is it to get on with a school where you didn't complete your Class 4? I've heard some schools almost exclusively hire their own instructor students while some will hire those taught elsewhere.
Thanks again.

Places to get an instructor rating?
Hey there, I'm planning on starting my instructor rating within the next month and was wondering if anybody would be able to recommend anyone/places that would be able to accommodate me :) I live in the Grimsby/St. Catharines area. I know there is the St. Catharines Flying Club, however some people ...

Looking for a little advice
Hey there, I'm just looking for a little advice regarding an instructor rating. I've recently completed my CPL and Float Rating and am looking to get my instructor rating. Just out of curiosity, what are the chances of flight schools hiring around this time of year and in say ~2-3 months for instruc...

Re: Dropping Out of Confederation College Flight Program
I second what winds_in_flight said. I paid around $10,000 for my TOTAL tuition and flight training at the college. There is no WAY in hell first semester alone is $10,000.

Re: Dropping Out of Confederation College Flight Program
lownslow, This 'mystery' test that SuperchargedRS keeps to referring to it as is NOT a mystery test. I don't understand why he keeps calling it that because it's far from it. Out of curiosity Supercharged, where do you get your info from because it seems like you have a lot to say about it and most ...

Re: Dropping Out of Confederation College Flight Program
Hi everyone ! This is my first time posting here. I am a student in the Confederation College Flight Program Year 1. I am finding it confusing and hard. I would say I am of average intelligence and have to struggle with certain things. I generally like to learn things on my own and at my own pace. ...

I hope it's not hard to find a job, let's say USA or Britain or Australia etc :) Just to make clear: It's better to finish university with specific degree and then go to aviation??? Not a problem Xanderson. From what I've heard from others who I went t...

Re: Overseas - Possible for a first job?
Just out of curiosity, what are the hour requirements like over in Africa (specifically Arusha and Dar), and would an instrument rating be required/give you an edge? I've heard it's mostly VFR, but I could be wrong :) Also, what's the best time of year to head on over there? Thanks! Edit: Side note,...

Hey there, Just wondering if someone could answer a few questions for me as I haven't been able to find an answer. I'm looking at completing my Multi IFR, however do not have a multi rating. I understand that I need to obtain a multi rating before I'm able to complete my group 1 instrument rating. O...

Re: Time Building Question

Hey there, Just a question out of curiosity that a few of my friends and I were discussing, but I'm curious as to what other people think regarding time building for job (nothing specific). University Question
Hey there, I'm faced with a pretty difficult decision right now and was looking for some input. I've researched them a lot, and completely unde...
