Kananaskis interception

As we flew in to YYC today we heard 1 plane get intercepted by F18’s and 1 get warned away.

Don’t want to be the one who was intercepted.

Re: AR program Did I read that right?

Every AR guy that I've flown with, save one, has been excellent. Even with a few years time on a Boeing and a few thousand hours 705 time, I learned lots. The pairings were genuinely enjoyable. While the previous AR program at WJ was going to be unsustainable, I question the method which the Compan...

I saw on Facebook that it flew, not sure if it was today or a day or so before, but the trees around the lake had snow on them and the black of the plane looked awesome contrasted to that.

Re: Why Won't You Come to WestJet?

Position bid openings came out and absolutely 0 captains openings, meanwhile captains are averaging 10-20 hrs more per month vs first officers. The logical thing would be to upgrade more pilots to balance the hours out. So please tell me why an airline wouldn’t follow this logic? Money. Upgrading p...

Re: It is imminent.......be ready.

Are rolling strikes legal? It would help defeat the 'essential to the economy' narrative if only a portion of us were on strike. Or if we operated 3 days on, 3 days strike. Both would be crippling to the company, which is the real point of the strike, while not hurting other businesses very much. I...

Re: Air Canada is Not WestJet

The WJ AME’s just held the line as best they could and they were forced to arbitration from the CIRB. I hope the best for the AC pilots, I hope the same result doesn’t occur for you with this precedent set. Arbitration sucks.

Re: Air Canada is Not WestJet

I strongly oppose negotiating in the media but the point of this video is very true. AC always wants to compare us to WJ when it suits them. Bottom line is there is a hierarchy and AC is at the top for Pilots. There has never been (that I am aware of) an AC Pilot quit and go to WJ, yet we have hire...
