I'd really appreciate if you could help expand my knowledge on this as I currently see WS as my #1 destination for this reason. Have ...

Re: Hiring forecast

Zero blocks are only on the company desire and reduced blocks are offered through normal bids but these are extras to those. So it isn’t something that is always available. Thanks for the insight. Re: Hiring forecast

Have they mentioned any issues with aircraft deliveries delaying hiring plans? A lot of US carriers have either stopped or slowed hiring as a result so I’d imagine WJ is even more exposed being only 737 We had planned for (I believe) 8 deliveries this year. AVH said we will see none, they are tryin...

Better get those new routes covered by tight scope language. If not, you’ll see the Bus drivers driving for YOS on the AirBus.

Re: Westjet cancelling flights due to cold in Calgary

The fuel in the pylon was getting a bit thick??? How thick do you think it gets at 40,000 feet? Cold weather ops..you would think everyone here was born yesterday. Teal was saying that deice fluid was not performing it's function at -40. Why are you even attempting to deice at -40? Are you aware th...

Re: Picking up opentime

The company cares about the bots. They are testing a way (or 2) to make the bots less effective. We will see how long it takes the programmers of the bots to circumvent that new system.

Yesterday there was a Bonza Tail flying a Flair flight with Flair decals on it at Gate 18 in YYC. I thought the Flair tails were in Australia now? It caught me off guard seeing it in Calgary.
