Re: Flying Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and Jazz Air / Air Canada Express for the first time
The reason you are seeing alot of incident reports from Jazz to different sites and agencies is that Jazz reports everything and is very transparent. Its meant for data collection, reliability, tracking and over all safety driven improvments. Nothing at all to worry about when flying Jazz. I work th...

Re: Flying Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and Jazz Air / Air Canada Express for the first time
I like to tell people “smaller planes fly slower therefore they are safer”. Not necessarily a valid fact but it’s one way for a layman to look at it and feel better. As for the Q400, it is a beast, if you lose an engine and don’t even touch the rudder it will still get a positive rate of climb in a...

Re: Upcoming Jazz station closures
Just another example of Jazz "The incredible Shrinking Company". I've been with Jazz for a mere 8 years and the changes I've witnessed are incredible , notably the downward spiral of respect and care the Jazz has for its employees. I shudder when I think how this company will approach the post Curre...

Re: One less thing for ACPA to worry about
This entire thread is useless, the flying has ceased as of the end of April, no sense dwelling on what or what will happen to TC's flying. Jazz has no control over this now. It would be more prudent to to focus attention on whats happening at the 96% of Jazz's revenue and prepare accordingly.

Re: CYYC - EGLL Flight Incident (Will raise a few eyebrows)
Is this possibly a misconstrued story playing off the Delta flight between new york and chicago when a woman stripped naked? Its kinda hard to believe that your story actually happened with no repercussions.

Re: Work consistency at Jazz
Gonna have to disagree with you on that one. The culture at Jazz is very diverse from base to base. I've been to all our bases and from my perspective and from others that have visited and worked some overtime/relief at the heavy bases, is the opinion that you've made your own bed. Low morale starts...

Re: Jazz pilots contract?
I'm gonna have to disagree about the gentleman making an ass of himself. An easy solution to warm temperatures are the engines. You can take your ground air, when the APU is not available, start your engines, and use the bleed from the engines to supply the air conditoning packs, the aircraft will c...

Stickontheice,
You asked what enhancements to working conditions they are asking for...and you mentioned Tail Swaps? can you elaborate on how Tail Swaps are a burden to working conditions? I'd Just like to know what I'm missing in your post.
thanks

Re: Jazz pilots contract?
You guys know what I mean by my post, please stop reading posts so literally. I take my job and responsibilities just as serious as you folk do, and if you read my post I did say that I supported you in your actions, so why the hate towards a fellow employee? We are all running the same race so why ...

Re: Jazz pilots contract?
Never mind placing the stickers on their flight bags, its the stickers that are placed all over the flight deck is whats pissing alot of people off. We are also a part of the company and we understand what you pilots are going through and we do support you, but spending half the night peeling goddam...

Re: Jazz....Just couldn't get it stopped?
After reading everyones posts and replies to DOC, I had to respond in some form. Why do you think there was a cover up on this incident? Does anyone not remember the CRJ hard landing in YYZ that caused both MLG to puncture through the wing? There was no cover up on that accident, no one was injured ...

Re: Interview for Aircraft Tower
If you end up hired as an aircraft tow crew ('tower' just doesn't make sense), always make sure you get the Hyd. accumulator pumped up to MORE than 1500 PSI, put the seats back and down when you finish, and put the switches back to their 'normal positions'! Good luck! I like to know what tow bar do...
