Re: Training Question
Ill sum up what the others said.. You are allowed 1 written test score below the pass mark (80%), and are given 1 re-write throughout the whole course. However, if you score below 65% on any written test, that is grounds for Cease Training. You will write a total of 4 written exams (including the IT...

Re: Floatplane rental in the Winnipeg area?
Interlake Aviation now has YWG Aviation's 172, but they also operate a Stinson 108. It can take a pretty decent payload, and I think it rents out at a similar rate to the 172. They fly them both out of Norris Lake (near Teulon). http://www.interlakeaviation.com/#!training-fleet/c1utf If anyone knows...

2 crew intitial IFR ride??
Does anyone know if you can do a 2 crew initial IFR ride?? During the whole ride the PIC would have to have single pilot authority.. but I cannot find anything in the CARS that states a pilot must do a single pilot IFR Flight test.
Thanks,

Re: 777 in Winnipeg
There are 2 here now... One is picking up the pax from the first one.. Apparently the first one had "smoke in the cockpit" and had to divert en route from Chicago to Shanghai. Nice Bird, nice to see in YWG.. Those engines are massive!

Commercial Ride in a Twin? Ever heard of anyone doing this?
Hey Everyone, Just wondering If anyone knows if this is possible? I know you have to do a spin and spiral dive recovery, which you would be unable to do in a twin. Easily done at another time in a 172. But are there any restrictions that limit the type of A/C you use on your flight test? Thanks, NE

Private American A/C Down in CYRT.
An American registered Aero Commander lost both engines just after take-off this afternoon in CYRT (Rankin Inlet, NU). Apparently the A/C had engine problems and decided to delay departing to fix the problem. They were planning on doing a few run-ups to sort out the problem.. not sure if they did? T...
