Re: Park Brake on for Takeoff

I only used AGL as they had an aircraft almost drive into the terminal" name withheld should never have been near an airplane" however have worked at other places, and I'll tell you yhat the only places that had "good" maintenance were the oilfield charter companies other 704's were less than stella...

Re: Park Brake on for Takeoff

I'm not sure how any of the talk about GA aircraft doing run-ups is relevant...In the 1900, setting the parking brake for engine starts is pretty much essential; very few people have the leg strength and stamina to hold the brakes for the duration of the start and after-start checks. The parking br...

Re: Park Brake on for Takeoff

Diadem. If you trust the parking brake on the 1900 you are bound to taxi into yyz gates while head down doing the after starts......... feet on the brakes, parking brake will slip when it shouldn't and stick when it shouldn't as well

Next day our crew van a chevy astro white with red orange and silver hiviz painted all around it was crushed by a tug. Prez our driver was off for quite a bit. Re: Do you have to snag intermittent problems?

A place I worked at prior, I was given sh!t by the mechs for "writing it in the book" I responded why I bother, you just call it GTS. We can only fix it if they buy us parts. I said no problem, I will keep snagging it. Well we will keep putting GTS in the book. Well the next mx audit, it will come u...

Re: Air Tindi Flight Missing

There but for the grace of God, go I.....trying to fly partial panel with instruments sort of working is difficult to the extreme. However this is why I am angry at TC that a 3rd AI, isn't required in SEIFR/MIFR airplanes in commercial service, and why they insist that we have a T+B, but I can'tput ...

Re: King Air at Gillam, MB

Its been a while since flying the KA200. The aux fuel, is it electrically pump or does it use the jet pumps from bypass fuel? I seem to recall that if there is no fuel in the mains, it wont transfer? Maybe an alternate theory was lineman filled wrong tank, and in hurry crew simply looked at total li...

I think if PW released the actual letter from AC saying they would keep the 1900's in YHZ/YQX the pilots maybe more likely to hang around. The Guys in St John, NB are looking for a corporate King AIr driver, if you really have to stay in the Maritimes

Had similar issue years back the wheel bearing had seized, and broke the cotter pin. Next takeoff tire departed and called back by tower with a how many wheels do you have? 5! No, I think we have one here. 2nd time it happened sounded like a dragging brake on touchdown, taxied in, the tire had backe...

the latest to come out is that the crew had 3 different airspeeds showing. At this time would not climb thrust, disconnect a/p and stab trim and aim 3degrees up make it fly?

Re: Canada bids for mothballed prototype drone from Germany

We didnt Buy the subs it was a horse trade for the bases, we did however have to buy all the technical package from BAE, and then pay for a refurb. Politicians shouldn't be allowed near military spending. Give the Generals a budget, then got out of the way.

Re: Remeber that F35 debate

Sorry, I like the Gryphen......BUT where are the fighter bases YQQ, YOD, YBG, and Sort of YYR. where are they going to intercept the threats. we need something that can supercruise and has at least 1200 range. Look at the F-18's that were scrambled from YBG due to the drug smuggling Convair. Made it...
