Re: JD Irving Ad

Rothesay and Quispamsis are beautiful towns to live in and are close to the airport. Commute could be less than 15 minutes and no traffic lights to deal with. They have repeatedly been regarded as some of the safest towns in Canada. Great place to raise your kids. I have read that some people consid...

Re: Job Posting!

Any idea what it means when you get this, “This message is to inform you that we have received your latest resume for the position of Pilot (for non AC-Express Pilots only). We thank you for your interest and would like to inform you that we have modified your online candidate file accordingly.“ I ...

Re: Syncrude

Great question I do not know that answer. However they were meticulously maintained and have new engines. Higher time airframes but if they had some fresh paint and updated interior, for the right low time flyer there might not be a better set of twins.

Re: Syncrude

Yes it was tough news to get the word of the department closing. No better schedule that I know of to raise a family, home every night (lots of golf) and work with some really good people. The model changed for how passengers were moved back and forth from YYC and YEG and that was all. I hope to bou...

Re: 703 to AC?

I had 90 percent Caravan and C206 Time, (I think I had about 300 hours on a 200. I was offered the job.
In my Interview was a gal who used to fly in the same part of the world that I did and I believe she had mostly Caravan time if not all.

Re: Corporate Pilot Banter

Not too too Long ago I was at an FBO in Calgary and saw an AC Jetz Airbus when we pulled in. (Flames were playing that night) After our Pax Deplaned me and the other pilot were just kinda chumming around and the Skipper (who obviously knew who we worked for) said, "Are you guys just heading back to ...

Jepp Chart Bag.

Selling my old Jeppesen chart bag. I found it a little too big for what I needed at for but I used it from when I started flying until I could no longer haul it around.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

I suppose I am feeling slightly defeated at the moment. I applied long long ago and was put into a pool, (2 years in the pool). I was eventually (finally) given my PIT course date and medical, offered in March 2014; however I had already taken a job with another company and signed a contract. Which ...

Re: Citation 550

Im 6.4, 230 and fit into a C560 just right. Im sure some of my PAX chuckle when they see me creep into the cockpit. However I went to fit into my Wife's C550 and I had to tuck in a bit tighter with my head a little bit cockeyed (I would hate flying to Phoenix like that). I think it was simply cause ...

Re: What kind of watch do you wear?

A bit of a controversial piece (cause they took metal from the titanic to build part of it). I recently saw my friend was wearing this, although he is only flys here and there privately I did think it was funny his watch was worth more then what he spend on his private and multi IFR........ behold, ...
