Was wondering if there's anyone here from Air Inuit that I could PM?
Looking for some information on an airstrip in northern Quebec.
Many thanks, in advance!

Re: Why would anyone want to go to Swoop?
Aviation memories are short in Canada. The blacklist is all BS. You will not have it "hanging over your head for your entire life" Canadian and Air Canada pilots share the same cockpit, so do Air Canada and Air Ontario. No one blacklisted the Jetsgo pilots who handed over a briefcase full of $30,00...

NAFTA (Again)
There's a rumour, doing the rounds in Canada again, that pilots will be added to some sort of NAFTA list in the next year or so, essentially allowing us access to jobs south of the border. I can't find any real info on this, though. Does anyone here know anything about it, or know where to look to v...

AC Passes in PEK
Hi guys,
Has anyone travelled back to YYZ from PEK on a pass?
If so, was it easy to get from the ticket counter to the gate after the boarding pass was issued (and before the flight departed).
Thanks, in advance, for any info.

Re: Biplane crash Brantford, 1 dead
A very sad day in Canadian aviation. Also flew with John in the 757, both on the line, and in the sim. Fantastic gentleman. Always brightened my day to know he'd be the instructor or examiner. I remember all the conversations we had about that Skybolt when he was building it, so sorry to hear it end...

Re: share what you make.
lol There are no contracts currently paying remotely anything like 30k USD/month gross in China. Or anywhere. I wouldn't be so sure about that. Well, I'm currently shopping for a new contract job as a B777 captain. As such I receive multiple emails weekly from every major recruiting agency with the...

There are no contracts currently paying remotely anything like 30k USD/month gross in China. Not quite correct. 350K is however, about what one would have to earn in Canada to keep the same amount of $$ in your pocket at the end of each month as you can with certain expat jobs. Generally correct.

The problem isn't usually accent, it's diction.

I'd give Bill Davidson a call.

He found me a far better deal than anything related to COPA.

Re: Canadian ATPL currency/validity while overseas
Hey guys, I'm a bit confused about validity/currency of a Canadian ATPL while a person is working overseas on a foreign validation license (FVL). If you are away for a year or so, what actually keeps our Canadian license valid? An IFR ride, or your medical or a specific PPC check if you were employ...

Re: thinking of buying small private plane - financing quest
Bill Davidson at National Insurance brokers in AJAX would be a good one to call. I have to agree, Bill's a fantastic resource. That said, my advice is, if you're on a reasonably tight budget, I wouldn't buy anything you can't pay cash for. The ownership costs alone will keep you on your toes, never...

YYZ - GTAA Viscount Road Parking Lot Question
Hi all, Quick question for YYZ based folks (that use the Viscount lot). Does the staff parking lot entry system read licence plates on the way in? I see a machine there that looks like it's reading plates. Not planning anything untoward, but I may have to borrow someone's car to go to work, and I wa...

Re: Noco Genius G3500 Smart Battery Charger
Perfect, thanks again. I appreciate you taking the time to post all that. I wasted most of the morning reading about this stuff, and like most things, there were opinions all across the board. I couldn't help but feel it wasn't that complicated to keep a 172's 12V battery charged. You've helped a lo...
