Temperatures won't have anything to do with it... You said it yourself, same bird 3 times in 6 months.. First place I would look is your oleo servicing practices post replacement... It's been done wrong 3 times in a row now and you've got the numbers to prove it!!

You both make very good arguments, to me it would only make sence to pay for it yourself as a contractor, that way it gets you more work in the long run, probably a bit more money and is all a tax write off.. All that being said, put 15 grand in my pocket, and and Vegas idea will n doubt have jumped...

Seamus, you make a very good point, and I aswell as many other in the industry I'm sure would LOVE to fork out the 5 grand for an engine course, the 10 grand for a type course.. You can always head up and get wasted for 3 weeks in northern Quebec with the boys at air Inuit for 12 bucks an hour, they're screaming for green apprentices!

A friend of mine has all her weld inspection tickets and certification for most of the different types of NDT testing..
Was wondering if any of you know any companies who do NDT on aircraft and what requirements might be needed to be considered for hire??
