Re: Looking For Advice

Since your visa application will take some time, I say go to Porter or Jazz (I prefer Porter), and get that airline experience. You can upgrade on the Q, whilst still waiting for your application. Then you can take that valuable airline PIC experience, and move to the US. in the bigger picture, not ...

Seems like this needs a thread on its own. There’s nothing official about the package now, these are just rumors.

When the news is good, all communication channels are open. When things go tu it's wise to keep the information to trickle as the stakes are much higher. Can't blame him for the radio silence. And what can he really say? Sorry suckers. I had targets to meet. Already getting his resume ready. I mean...

It's a little different with a bunk and augmented crew though.
What bunks and what augmented crew? It’s done every single night, 2 crew night turnaround, with anywhere from 1-4hrs ground time in between.

Re: Air Canada to Acquire 30 ES-30 Electric Regional Aircraft

Anyone want to take a stab at what this regional will be called? We've tried Jazz, Georgian, Sky Regional... EVAS, and CMA. Also starting pay rates $27.50/hr because the young libs coming into the industry WILL take a paycut to help the war on climate change. No need for young libs. AC pilots are a...

... It's friggin embarrassing standing in a Customs line with them. We are like the cheap prostitutes of the major airlines. Man I feel exactly the same way. I don't have any pride wearing this uniform when other airlines call us things like "the whores of the north" and "Pirates of the north Atlan...

Re: Looks like Porter is trying to poach Jazz EMB Capts

Porter got quite a bit of zoom pilots when it went bust. They pushed hard for a union, and it was still voted down. DEC coming from jazz are doing so willingly, as opposed to those from zoom who were out of a job, which leads me to think that there wouldn’t be a push for a union anytime soon.

Re: Passport stamp from Iraq? Would it cause an issue?

Wouldn't there be a major difference in how you'd answer the question 'Why did you visit Iran?' "I am an airline pilot and had to go there for work" vs "I really like the country and wanted to visit some cities there. I made some friends as well." Yes there would be. The poster is asking about the ...

If you enjoy being interrogated for hours by the Americans, theb go for it. If it’s ever caught or mentioned that you were in Iraq, big chance that someday you’ll be pulled aside for a few hours, and questioned about every single minute, in detail that you spent there, and every single person you in...

Re: Accident: Canada B772 near Delhi on May 24th 2022, severe turbulence causes 8 injuries

Having to declare an emergency to land in India is not that unusual. As a weekly flyer into Indian cities, I need to question that comment. These guys didn’t want to land in Delhi, their alternate was probably AMD, and they’ve seen the NOTAM, which says the runway is closed due to maintenance, howe...
