Re: Airshow

Sounds like a great time. Who's bringing the Spitfire? Vintage Wings' Spit is down with engine troubles... Really? As far as I know our Spit's engine is ok. I guess they've taken to reporting snags to everybody but us maintainers. Maybe I was given "duff gen" last weekend. I hope all is indeed well...

Re: Snowbird report out

Why is it that a Snowbird pilot didn't have LLAT? I would think that should be mandatory. Not certain of present policy, but hanging on the wing during the various maneuvers typically does not require LLAT since the wingmen are not looking at anything other than the references from the lead aircraf...

Re: Some suggestions on Pilot training

Going to give you a hard dose of reality then. Take a look at the top of this page on ways you can fund your flight training. Get your priorities straight. Short answer, get a job, save money, pay for your training like every other person who wants a higher education does. Agree with above comments...

Re: Embraer Runway Excursion RNY 07 in Ottawa few moments ag

Regardless of what Boise and the rest have, the fact of the matter is that financially, this country along with air traffic in and out of YOW cannot finance this type of venture. The elevation change alone on the western end of 07/25 would be an astronomical cost to the city/feds etc. Boise, for exa...

Re: Embraer Runway Excursion RNY 07 in Ottawa few moments ag

Runway 25-7 is the primary runway for YOW..It is the shortest and when 25 is the active, it has the worst approach ...Not counting the third world VOR/NDB crap. This is the Nation's capital airport.....brutal. 25-7 should be 10000 feet with CL lighting, TDZ lighting, and Cat II if required. Hello O...

Re: new challenger 605

The 605 is a great aircraft, it will certainly meet your needs. The cabin is nice and wide and the subtle differences from the 604 are a welcomed change. As wallypilot mentioned, you will need another stop when heading to Australia. Fly at high speed cruise with shorter legs and the overall differen...
