Re: Discrimination
Very clearly racism/discrimination as well as white privilege. The woman occupying the seat that shouldn't have been there should have been removed, plain and simple. If for no other reason than the seat assignment has to be paid for and she's travelling with a small child. Of course, when a black ...

Re: Mandatory Vaccines for Everyone
You still need an aviation medical to be a pilot. Why aren’t you people choosing that as the bridge to die on in this silly “mah freedumb” movement? Interesting choice of words for a poor analogy. I agree that many of the "reasons" for not wanting the vaccine are silly and dumb, in my opinion. But ...

I too fail the coloured dots test. I failed the lantern test twice. I was given a practical test a mile from the tower (during the day) where the controller used the light gun and I somehow was able to identify the colours. I was issued a Category 1P (P for practical) which has been good since. Tran...

Have the striking workers actually done anything that is "Illegal"? Annoying, yes. Not all that strategic - you bet. But illegal - I've not seen anything to suggest that any of their actions have been illegal. So if stood on the road and blocked traffic on any street in Toronto I wouldn't get arres...

Say what you want about flying for Kasper. He gives you a place to stay and that's worth about 5k a year in savings. Do the math kids. Go fly for Kasper for 3 seasons. Get all the pic you need for your atpl. Apply to perimeter/bearskin with 1k hours, and work on a metro for a year and you will be a...

How does a company (Bearskin) reduce the price that they charge the customer for their service by 60% and remain in the black? Easy. They operate an aircraft that has paid for itself 15 years or more ago, devalued to zero by finance, has a very, very low operating costs, with crews that are cost le...

I'm no psychologist, but before this guy is condemned, I would imagine it could possibly be an automatic "OH FUKK!" reaction to jam the powers forward. In a brief moment you may know if the airplane is going to fly or if it's going to shake itself apart. It could work, as in this case and another PC...

You guys are all acting like it was a 'kaboom, hard yaw left, all the bells and whistles telling them they had an engine failure'. It wasn't. Did anyone actually read the report, or jump to the end. With a low power setting, and gusty winds, at 500' the airplane is getting bumped around, and anyone...
