Re: MyIDTravel WS yellow face?
WestJet only displays a maximum of 7 seats in Sabre on all flights. Due to this, WestJet will always show a yellow face in MyIDTravel. Red faces are for 5 or less seats for sale on any given flight. Yellow faces indicate more than 5 and up to 7. Green will indicate for 8 seats and above available fo...

Re: ID Travel agreement.
Hello,
Send me a personal message. I can get your info and have our Staff Travel Office contact you directly. I do know that we are only able to add airlines that currently utilize the MyIDTravel platform. They may make exceptions however.

Re: Zed Fares
Things look official, was just on the ZED MIBA Member site which shows the list of members, and I see that WestJet is now listed as of September 17, 2010.
http://www.zedmiba.org/members
I hope they provide more information soon as I am planning a trip already.

Re: Zed Fares
Any more news on the progress of ZED for WestJet?
Re: Zed Fares
Zed Fares are almost instant. You go to a ticket counter and it is issued on the spot. I think if the Destination desk will be handling the process at the start you will go to the destination desk and they will process the pass. If you live outside of Calgary then the only turn time is going to be t...
Re: Zed Fares
ZED Fares are always ticketed by each employees respective airline. The only time another airline will ticket a ZED pass for an employee of another carrier, is if that airline is the contracted ticketing agent in a different country. For example, United Airlines at one point in time contracted with ...
Re: Zed Fares
Zed fares are currently issued via paper coupon, that must be issued by your employing airline. So the online version to order passes is great, but you will still need to have them delivered or pick them up from the destination desk, so I would think the best way to get your passes would be to go to...
Re: Zed Fares
KLM, Jet Airways, and Emirates are setup on zonal pricing. The booking will be through WestJet CSA's as that is how Zed works. Will be interesting to see when it all starts. There will new Airlines added as well, but it is so far speculation... Everyone is very excited...
Re: Zed Fares
So, from what I hear the ZED fares are on the way... well it has been confirmed on the Real Story. I have heard we are going to being with KLM, and then progess to our other partners. Has anyone heard anything on when this is going to launch for sure? I have heard August and then later this year...
Re: Zed Fares
I must say KLM was very helpful at the airports in Europe. If you call their standby line they tell you to go to your pass office, and that is hard to do once you are abroad. WestJet is missing out on many airlines in terms of pass travel because most airlines now are on ZED type fares and they do n...
Re: Zed Fares
The current process of booking interlines is not easy. I recently took a trip on of our interlines. I requested my ticket 3 weeks in advance. Was contacted 2 days prior to departure with my PNR so that I could travel. The day before leaving I noticed the flight that I needed was overbooked. I called...

Re: Dispatcher Jobs at WS?
There are two job postings: 1. Internal Prep Course 2. Dispatcher The first is a prep course for internal candidates who would like to become dispatchers. If they want to become a dispatcher they apply, do the interviews, and then commence a hellish course that is very difficult, however has a 100% ...

Re: Free Travel from port to Base
Let us clear the air... Firstly, WestJet has created a "port program" so that WestJet Pilots and Flight Attendants can get to and from their paring.... Let us get this straight, it is for Pilots and Flight Attendants only, whom are port employees (i.e. they are not based in Calgary). This is not for...
Re: Zed Fares
I disagree, I think it would be smart for both Air Canada and WestJet to allow employees to travel on each other. They already have a pilot reciprocal agreement in place, so extending it to all employees would be the next step. In the U.S. Alaskan Airlines and nearly every U.S. carrier have employee...

Re: Customer Service Question
Firstly, every Airline has their good and bad days, however "The Raven" if you would like to see posts to see Air Canada Complaints, do a Google search, their are simply too many to post here. In response to JJJ: There are several covenants that regulate and control Airlines and the service they off...

Re: Interline travel if you are on Long term Disability?
Hey,
The KLM rates are much better now. The old system worked out to over $600 for stby fare. Now they are with taxes to AMS about $240.00
Just had my passes issued to ams and the taxes were about $90.00us

Re: Interline travel if you are on Long term Disability?
Hello, The employee interline agreements all vary in terms of who or who is not elegible; each airline is different. However they all have the following exclusions: Not Eligible: * Travel companion * Employees on leave of absence * Unaccompanied minors Check with the destination desk to see if they ...

Do not listen to Jetsetfly. The only group within WestJet that requires internal referals is the Pilot Group. The rest of the posts are free game. There are many who entered WestJet without knowing someone on the inside, myself included.

Re: Wesjet / Standby / Zed Fares
Will be great to see the new things on the way... The Destination desk currently does a great job, however the timeframes and processes are not always realistic.
