If a pilot is not comfortable flying down to minimums and safely completing a missed approach when required he should not be in the pilot's seat. It's tough to say as to why, but I'd say keep trying. The company is still growing and there's obviously lots of movement, I know sometimes in all the commotion candidates can be forgotten about if they don't keep applying.

Out of experience, SPIFR is all about self preparation, motivation, setting your own minimums Interesting point. Should I be setting my own minimums higher or lower than what's in the Cap? I didn't see anybody else jump on this, but just to make it clear: set personal minimums above the CAP minimum...

if a 250 hour pilot can get this job they should take it. West wind has lots of opportunity for movement, so if they need some PIC they can move onto the twin cessnas and fly bags for a year. 250 hour pilots should take *any* flying job offered to them, anything to avoid that ridiculous ramp bullshl...
