This is yet another reason why it's taking a lot of instructors 120 hours to finish a PPL...they don't stick to the basics.You dont teach someone how to fly by testing. You test after they have the skills.
It is not flight sim where you dream up a challange and they attempt it.

It's not really a reward, it's simply that 70% of your last 10 recommends must be successful, which seems like fair ball.essentially the instructor gets rewarded if a student fails but that's the way the reg is written
