Go to aerotraining.com and click on Our Free On-line Exams . Register with your e-mail address and you have an account. Choose the CAR's exams for Canadian AME. As it stands my understanding is that as long as it adds up to 48 months it doesn't matter. You can gather it in even more than 6 years.
The bottom line is you have the approved training, have at least 48 months experience, have your logbook (tasks) filled and pass the exams.

Hi Adam, as av-mec has mentionned there's no rosy picture in Montreal. Having said that, BBD seems to be going to have to recall all the skilled people they laid off in recent months/years.
