Re: Aerion announces tri engine supersonic bizjet ...
I do not see why pilots are so negative minded about a SSBJ. Almost 50 years ago, we got our first supersonic airliners. Politics killed them. Both of them were not born in the USA. But now, Asia is pushing the boundaries, and the new jet may just happen there. And the Middle East is just the place ...

Re: F-35s grounded (again)
AuxBatOn, I agree with you that DND should leave this program, while it still can provide you and me with a decent pension. Actually, the more you look at it, the more it becomes important, that our government can support us, in retirement. The number of enemies killed, is quite irrelevant, like in ...

Re: To pee, or not to pee
I remember once, many years ago, on a 747 flight Tel-Aviv to Montreal. The fully loaded planed took almost two hours to reach cruise altitude. Until then, no lav. Then the seat belt light went off. There was almost a riot, as so many passengers rushed to relieve themselves. I am sure some wet their ...

Re: Temporary foreign pilots in 2013
Perhaps all TFW applications should be accompanied by an advertisement for the job opening on a government-run website, and all responses from potential Canadian employees should go through said website. It would be pretty hard to argue that no one had applied when the government could pull up the ...

If the last Inmarsat ping is so credible, they should also have a complete series of pings, showing the flight track.
Why do they only talk about the last one?

Also no I saw no mention of ELT signals. So a land crash is out of question.

Interesting theory here: http://keithledgerwood.tumblr.com/post/79838944823/did-malaysian-airlines-370-disappear-using-sia68-sq68 He's saying that another 777 had the exact same track as the one that showed up on radar. His theory is that flight 370 snuck in behind it, so that it would remain undet...

But if the plane crashed hard in a mountain side, it could be hard to find. It leaves only a small hole.

My answer has always been: Do we want to put all our taxpayer dollars into one project? I used to see milk for 7$ for 2 litres, while a bottle of rye was the same price as it was in Toronto! This in Inuvik A bit like a $2.50 bottle of water down here, compared to the pop at $1.00... ;-) Mix just takes up space anyway. And mix gives you all the calories! :smt040 Living in the North is ...

Re: How Air Canada pilots treat their passengers!
As I wrote before, I was once on a flight from Moscow to Toronto, where a passengers had been restrained, and died. We sat on the tarmac for one hour, and then an announcement was made, that we had to wait for the coroner. Well, it took another 30 minutes, and then we were then kept in a room in the...

I remember watching the news that night, and seeing a witness say he had seen a rocket colliding with the plane. It would be interesting to know who all the passengers were.
