Re: EIC and Wasaya

No where in that release does it say there was a purchase, says they entered a partnership. That EIC injected some capital into Wasaya, I assume that means cash and they say there was an exchange of “shares”. EIC is a publicly traded company, one can buy and sell their shares. Wasaya is not, and you...

Re: Wasaya caravan missing

Insurance turns the wreck over to the company at some point, company spent the time and money to drag the wreck off Tarp Hill, why couldn't they take a few more steps and do something a little more dignified than toss it in the local dump? Nice memories for anybody that knew the pilot, actually mayb...

Re: Sensitive ears: can I still become a pilot?

Disappointed to read the advise previously given, young impressionable guys like you come here to get the straight goods and not jerked around. The short answer, the one you needed to hear? No! You should not be considering a career as an airline pilot, forget it, your ears are far to sensitive. You...

Re: TC really cracking down these days...

I do believe it was poor choice of words when they used "over-shot", I expect they meant over-ran... which resulted in questionable airworthiness of the aircraft, possible damage. The subsequient take-off most likely occured without the aircraft being inspected by an approved person i.e. an AME whic...

Right Seat PC-12 & C208 PPC's coming to theatre near you soon!

Seems TC has been reading their own regs and standards and are about to implement what has been in writing for years but perhaps slipped through the cracks? The PPC requirement for "Pilots" flying single-engine IFR with passenger or night VFR with passenger. Translation... F/O's require a PPC, not w...

Re: Falsifying a commercial aircraft logbook

Is an omission falsifying something? Intentionally entering something you know is incorrect is falsifying, failing to enter something might be just forgetfulness? And as far as TC goes, doesn't that just move you up in the hiring pool, you need to be able to spot a cooked book from 10 paces... takes...

Property maintenance, a complicated matter. Band members typically don't own anything, they can't own the property they live on. But to make a simpler point lets say you want to make a repair or upgrade. Walk down to the local Northern or community store and check out the hardware section, its proba...

Re: Important aviation event, all are invited!

I take it by the tone and content of the previous posts none of you have ever been to one of these events? They occur randomly through-out the world. Venues change, the posters and advertising looks a little different from city to city but the underlying purpose is still the same, its an employment ...

Re: Thunder Air's New PC12s Now in Operation

Did that come across as a feeling? I'll have to work on my writing skills. Consider it an advisory, the smart money is on an application with Thunder or anybody else for that matter. You're playing craps with loaded dice if you opt to apply for a position with the other guy, the last sentence in my ...

Re: Thunder Air's New PC12s Now in Operation

LOL... Mass exodus from Air Bravo! Thats hilarious... There are no masses employed there for an exodus! Operating a whole two aircraft from two locations, there only client is Ornge. I'm sure Ornge would drop them too if they knew all the corners they cut. You can't count the number of people that o...

Re: Companies that do not require Training bonds

This thread has been pretty quite for sometime, he's a new twist.

Air Bravo, currently advertising for Captains. I was told they are firing FO's that are refusing to take offers of left seat positions, company wants a 10K bond signed and paid upfront.

Re: Wasaya caravan missing

Well if you look at the bigger picture I'm not sure how you can say with such conviction there was no icing and 003 ceilings... destination was KB6, right next door to YTL. The YTL forecast was a shit forecast, all over the place, it was either going to be 010 OVC or 003 OVC. The YPL forecast was a ...

Re: Wasaya caravan missing

Must have been Tarp Hill? Any chance "they climbed a damn mountain to get to the site" was just an expression? One that describes the extraordinary effort required to get the job done. Low ceiling prevented them from jumping directly into the site, instead they drove up the north road and then hump...
