Re: East roadtrip

Thanks for the info guys! I might do a trip on the north shore this time and if needed, another one on the south shore of the St-Laurent. How should I go about finding the small operators, those that might not even have a web site or the aerodromes where they operate from? It's the first time I'm do...

East roadtrip

Hey guys, so it's been almost a year since I finished my CPL and still nothing so I'm planning on doing a roadtrip within the next few weeks. So I guess the first thing i'd like to confirm is if this is a good time as I know many companies are hiring. Second, considering I'm bilingual, I thought it'...

Re: Where should I apply to start working ramp?

How did you write the IATRA with 230h, don't you need 250h for that?

As for the best way to get that job, even for the ramp is to go see the people and talk to them. Emails and faxes won't get you anything but disappointment.

Re: How long can a US registered Plane stay in Canada?

I guess no one remembers the guy with the L39 in Alberta that was fined one million bucks for not importing his airplane a couple years ago. Friends of mine were crucified by Transport on the east coast for operating a polish-registered AN-2. That fine was only $50,000. I guess it's a little harder...

Re: Morgan Air Flight School Closing Down?

Calgary has no capacity issues, come on guys! Springbank Airport has far more movements than Calgary. Look up the CADORs issued for the flight schools there, they are quite entertaining actually  . Calgary just has a bunch of grumpy controllers who whine about absolutely everything, thats why ...

the ground part of my PPL was flight planning and paperwork... for instance what happens when you sell/buy a plane. that's about it.

Hey, the CEO of Air Transat and one or 2 VPs also unloaded and handled luggage for some flights a few years ago when Handlex was on strike. You gotta remain operational no matter what. And the passengers don't care who does the job as long as it's done.

THE INDUSTRY IS FULL! Have you looked into the job prospects of a 200h wonder (CPL, MIFR and all)? Have you really ? Even if you do get a job and build some time you'll probably end up on the shity end of this growing statistic http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=65691&start=25&view...
