How about we all just shut the @#$! up, and keep our genious opinions to ourselves, until some actual facts start to emerge?

Re: Sunwing fleet and pilot rosters for the 2015/2015 season
Too early to filter all of that out. So, I will ask you this. How do you explain the plethora of English ONLY speaking pilots at Transat? They could put a shuttle mission in to their requirements, but it doesn't mean that is who they will hire. I am sure you are well aware that when a company posts...

TA has been reached. Still has to be approved by the membership, obviously.

Thank God for your 100% useless input, so we can all be made clearly aware of the value of your thoughts moving forward.brooks wrote:Thank god ALPA is there. They will save your jobs.

Re: Sunwing fleet and pilot rosters for the 2015/2015 season
I don't know why your so upset. Its really a simple question. My intentions hold no malice towards you. I can certainly assure you of that. Its just that someone passed along a business card to me and indicated that the person on the card, the person who's business it was to assist foreigners in th...

Re: Can’t we all just get along?
To me, while the OP's intentions are admirable, I think his poetry is missing the point when it comes to some issues more than others. Yes, there has always been f*ckery and low-ballers in this game. Unfortunately, it is now the (what we would traditionally call) "Legacies" or "Flags" that are playi...

Re: Air Transat Jumpseat
I'd say it will be a crap shoot at best. Loads fluctuate continuously, and a 330 flight can get switched to a 310 if the loads aren't strong enough, but that decision happens the month before. Our goal, as with everyone else, is to sell every single seat. It happens a lot in the summer. Best bet is ...

If you're an American pilot, bring your Medical too. We never check but technically, without it, your licence is just another pretty card.

Re: Air Transat hiring and Groundschool 2015
If you get hired on widebody = widebody pay scale If you are put on two aircraft = widebody payscale Those that are straight narrow body are so few there are chances that the narrow body pay scale may be eliminated during the next contract which is due this spring. Assuming there's a new contract i...

Re: Is it only Sunwing?
Someone makes an obviously ridiculous statement about interviews at Sunwing and we are to follow up with remarks about peoples heritage or origin. I thought this was a battle between CANADIAN pilots and Foreign worker policies in Canada? No I do not think making fun of someones heritage is appropri...

Re: Is it only Sunwing?
Just to clarify something here: In what universe is one company allowed to tell another company that they contract lift from who they can and cannot hire to provide that lift? Somebody please enlighten me, or stop blaming Transat for Canjet's use of TFWs.

Re: Toronto Star article on Temporary Foreign Worker pilots
Wow. You boys and girls over at Scumwing appear to have one hell of a union leader in Ron Smith. Good luck with that. I give him as much credibility as a poster that resorts to a self satisfying, yet drole, moniker for the company in question. I don't necessarily agree with the use of unreciprocate...

Re: Looking for Ex Sunwing Chief Pilot Mark Hugues
Intimidation tactics, and our own innate predisposition to behave and play by the "rules" is the at the very core of many of the bigger problems we are faced with in our industry. Ongoing misuse of the TFW program to the detriment of all Canadian pilots and companies (except SW) is a prime example....
